What are the time borders for cancel a credit card deposit for a hotel booking?
Question:
I have made a reservation at a hotel and rewarded the deposit by credit card. It is a non refundable deposit. Is there any means of access I can reclaim it?
Answer:
Sometimes even if a hotel has a no reimbursement policy you can get your money final if you or someone in your celebration is sick and has medical documentation. Whatever the pretext you need to go against, try to call the hotel and explain the situation. You may take someone who is sympathetic and decides to agree to you off the hook. If that doesn't work, you might try calling your credit card company and disputing the charges. Good luck!
It's non-refundable. It funds you can't get your money stern.
I love the term "non-refundable deposit".
Everytime somebody give me that one, I ask, "Why don't you just beckon it a FEE?"
What hotel has non-refundable room deposits? Unless you cancelled too close to the check contained by day.
Outside of speaking to the controller of the hotel; or if you happen to hold an elite-level credit card, you could see if you credit card company could help you surrounded by disputing the charge; I don't see much chance of getting the "deposit" rear legs.
Usually a deposit is refundable up to a certain time. With most hotels it is 72 or 48 hours. Some hotels grant 24-hour or less cancellations and still will discount in full. But contained by general, if you revoke the day you are supposed to check surrounded by, you will lose the deposit.
The deposit is stated to be non-refundable. It's only a deposit, not the intact amount. If you'd paid the full amount contained by advance, you would probably enjoy a claim. As it is, you don't.
The deposit is charged so that the hotel doesn't lose everything because the guest cancels.
You may be capable of claim off your travel insurance, if you enjoy any, providing the cancellation be because of illness or extermination.
If it's a deposit for a booking many months within advance the hotel might be inclined to refund a portion of it. However, they've incurred costs already within handling the booking and what you've been paying for is them holding those rooms available for you should you resolve to use them and you have no permissible or even moral claim for a refund.
Personally I read ALL the fine print on the weebsites in the past I make a reservation. A lot of them stipulate that once you made a deposit you can't go and get a refund, which is so stupid because you aren't even staying nearby! It's a way they sort money. If they stated there is a no return for money, you will be tough pressed to get your money put a bet on, because it 'said so'. Again, it's stupid, but if you tried sueing or something you'd be in the red because it would cost you more to scuffle it than the actual room was worth or the deposit.
What to do around this doctor bill?
Question:
Last year I was taken to the ER doctor. I completed up in the waiting room for nearly 12 hours and did not see a doctor. They took blood work. Sometime after, i received a bill proverb I owed them money for labs and seeing the doctor. I was told that I have to pay the bill despite not seeing the doctor so I updated my insurance information. It did not appear like it go through so I sent the payment. Now nearly a year subsequently I receive a statement saying the insurance salaried about 15% and I owe the rest. Is this conventional to have this budge through so long after I submitted? How do I go something like this since I already made the in full transfer of funds?
Answer:
I agree with the others, you are due a reimbursement from the hospital.
Also, by law, if you request a full copy of your files from a medical provider - they must provide it.
You stipulation to contact your insurance company and find out why they only compensated 15% of the bill. Find out if that is the amount the insurance company would singular cover you for OR if the hospital failed to properly report a claim. Request that the insurance company send you the object in writing !!
If the hospital poor to properly file a claim - you owe them nought - nada - zip. Tell them to repayment your money and to refile a proper claim with the insurance company.
IF it is to unsettled for them to file a proper claim (many times insurance companies hold a time limit for claim filing) transmit the hospital that you are not responsible for it since they failed to properly submit a correct claim.
If the hospital has-been to properly file a correct claim and still give you the run around, won't refile the claim, expecting "you" to pay etc. - communicate them you have rights beneath HIPAA and you are not responsible for the debt.
If you need to use the HIPAA suggestion, you might click on my profile and go to the closing site I have scheduled. Then go to the medical forum and read roughly it.
Show proof that you paid the entire amount, such as a canceled check. Then ask for reimbursement for the amount that the insurance company finally rewarded. They cannot keep your entire expense and the payment from the insurance too. They owe you some money.
copy the recipt for clearing or your check and forward a letter to the hospital billing department requesting a repayment of the difference because of the insurance payment.
Protest the doctors charge since yo didnt see one . HOWEVER if you have blood work done a Doctor may have reviewed the test and decided treatment . It MAY be a valid charge , but its fruitless medicine .
Send a communication to the hospital administrator that you feel the charge for the doctor be excessive since you did not see one . ask for an explanation.
I am sorry for your 12 hour wait at the hospital, depending on the diagnosis and how busy it is, hospitals usually rob most critical first. On the second hand you can request your chart! Did the doctor verbalize to you at all? Prescribe anything? Even though you be not taken back, if you briefly bargain to him they would definitely consider that as anyone seen. Make sure your medical, transcription number, SS# and DOB are correct there could be a mistake. If you own a common moniker there could be other patients they may enjoy crossed with yours.
Good luck it will filch some time to research
You should talk to your insurance company and ask them how much they cover. I know secure insurances cover only give or take a few 80% of it, and the 20% is paid by pocket. You stipulation to talk to your insurance provider, they will pass you in detail.

? Confusing question.
What does this connote?
Question:
i owe 8000 from a loan. i want to pay it stale! the lady said the money off would be 7% of what i owe what does that have it in mind
Answer:
It sounds like you are locked into a loan next to conditions that state an early payout would incurr a cost. I assume the 7% would be the penalty amount, which would probably cover the interest they would own earned have you not paid the loan out.
Sorry, you I don`t know better to invest the money you have at the moment (earning interest yourself) and verbs to pay the middle-of-the-road repayments onyour loan.
This makes no sense. Call them rear legs and ask for a written payoff.

How does gloomy credit history appear on your credit report once it's settled or salaried past its sell-by date?
Question:
How does negative credit history appear on your credit report once it's settled or remunerated off?
I own 4 negative accounts. One I settled within November, and should already be updated to "Paid in Full, 0 balance". Another is, as of later month, "Settled in Full", and I enjoy 4 more payments one one and a few more on a judgement. They are supposed to be updated as paid surrounded by full once final payment is sent.
After that, even though they will remain on my report, how much will my credit gain go up, because near them as they are my score is currently around 613-632.
Will they still be reported beneath the "negative account" category on my credit report(s)? How do they appear?
Answer:
A lot depends on exactly how the facts furnisher (creditor) reports.
If they show it as a zero amount, salaried as agreed, never late etc., it would probably show up contained by your positive section of your reports.
If they report it as a salaried negative statement - paid charge rotten, settled charge off, settled within full, late, etc., etc. it typically will still report as a negative. Plus the portrayal will be updated (updating is not re-aging) to make the picture appear newer than it actually is.
How much your score would go up, or down, depends on how they report and what else is on your reports - positive, gloomy.
If they show it as a positive paid, your score may go up.
If they show it as a glum paid, your score may remain the same, run down or possibly go up.
Much have to do with utilization (since it would be rewarded, the account would show 0 utilization), the picture still showing negative and individual updated to appear newer, the account simply mortal shown as a negative, etc.
I no longer surface bad almost embarrassing credit checks and I never capture declined for credit. I enter my info and got my credit report restored. Try it out, you won't be dissapointed.
Even though they are remunerated in full your credit report will still show that you be, 30 days, 60, 90 in arrears or that they be charged off, within collection.
Unfortunately they will still show as 'negative accounts' for years.
Your credit will increase over the years, but how much? is anybodies guess and depends on you.

I enjoy a credit card gone to collections, what's the worst that could come about?
Question:
It's has 700 dollars U.S. currency on it and a third do contacted me and left a message maxim I needed to call them yesterday or they would hold no choice but to take the subsequent step (which wasn't specified) where it would be out of their hand. I was not competent to contact them since my phone is crap and I didn't check my messages until the next morning at my second job(becuase I be at my first job), which was logically too late. Now I am worried and alarmed..Do you all know what the worst point is that could happen besides whats already happend. By the road I am willing to retribution it off contained by full I just didn't enjoy the money before hence the second brief.
Answer:
Been there, done that, seem scary at the time as the collection dept/agency will breed all kind of threatening overtones.
Firs thing to do is sit down and restful down, nobody is going to come kicking the door in beside a warrant, not at this stage anyway.
At this stage they are just firing reproving shots across your bows.
As for being out of their hand? Rubbish, they will always enjoy control of the debt unless they sell it on to a collection agency (which they can do surrounded by the UK, not sure about the U.S.
Contact them as soon as possible, be firm beside them and explain your circumstances and (most importantly) what you are going to do about it. If you start acceptance threats from the person you are chitchat to, ask to speak to a senior manager or supervisor, they may describe you they are all within meetings - that is to say all BS, grasp the name of the being you are talking to, advocate them that you are not prepared to be threatened, you are not a criminal and cannot face criminal charges (unless you are guilty of fraud, which you are not) - sometimes they will threaten court motion and posession of your goods - they requirement a warrant from the court before they can do that and beforehand that happens they will obligation to go through lawyer, court hearings (which you will receive a summons for long beforehand the hearing) etc etc.
If you are getting nowhere with the party you are talking to, give the name back and ask for a manager/supervisor, if they are not available consequently find out when they are and call rear legs then.
If you clear the debt straight away OR make an agreement with them to clear the debt afterwards your credit rating may suffer a little but nil more.
Remember though, that any agreement is legally binding on both sides, you hold to maintain your payments and they cannot lift further action whilst that agreement is within place, if they do then the Judge will simply throw their bag out of court.
Always get any agreement confirmed surrounded by writing, ask for it, don't assume they will send written confirmation.
The momentous thing beside any problem like this is to keep hold of things in perspective, it is exceedingly frightening when they start making threats but there is a contain to what they can do.
So, always:
Be polite.
Be professional (even if they aren't).
Don't threaten or allow yourself to be threatened.
Don't lose your annoyance (if they do then don't rise to the bait).
Keep control of the conversation, if you be aware of you are losing control then recommend them that you will call subsidise, hang up and unflappable yourself - if you lose your cool, you will lose your case.
Always hold a plan of action earlier you call, remember you are looking for a resolution - this can one and only be a benefit to both parties, emphasise this point - produce sure they know that this is a temporary glitch surrounded by your finances.
Always be reasonable, and be see to be reasonable, this will acquire you further than anything else (hard to do but it does pay dividends within the long run).
Always, always, other get a entitle and write down the date and time of the conversation, the name of the entity you are talking to, the proposals you are making and the result of the conversation.
Always, hold calm, you are the customer, you do own control of the situation - even if they are telling you that you don't.
Good luck, I hope my suggestion and experience has be of some use to you.
Collections have reputations for making threats. don't listen to that crap they're officially not allowed to threaten you. If it's gone to collections it's already on your credit report that you default. Call them and make arrangements to recompense. That's it. You'll get olden it. Just be more careful and embezzle care of your adjectives bills.
pay your bills and you wouldnt stipulation to worry.
I'm no expert but probably at this stage lately another letter or drop by with interest on top.
Try to communicate beside them as soon as possible - usually arrangements can be made that are acceptable to both party as long as you tell them what is going on.
I know you are not wilfully avoiding them but the longer you leave it the worse it will obtain. If you find yourself unable to repay a bill in adjectives, contact them before you miss the payoff deadline.
Good luck
Pay the original creditor not the collection agency. When and if the agency call you again give them the acceptance #, check # or whatever and instruct them NOT to nickname you again. If you don't settle the debt they could go for a judgement to trimmings wages or your income tax settlement. If you've got the money, only pay it.
if you own the funds to pay bad in full...PAY IT NOW.. contact the company... lame excuses that your phone is crap and didnt check messages is no angelic... you ran the bill uyou know when it have to be paid... ignorance is no excuse!if you close the eyes to it and its in england they will bring back a court order and dispatch in the bailiffs to get better the debt and you will have to salary for the court costs and bailiffs costs too
Call them first thing Monday morning and arrange to foot.
What does this parsimonious 7% of 8000?
Question:
Answer:
It means you multiply 8000 x 0.07 and obtain 560
560
7 percent means 7/100
7 percent of 8000 technique:
7/100 times 8000
thats 56,000/100
and thats 560
560
.07 times 8000
560. why are you in the credit booth?
Man, I really hope you don't mean your intrest rate on a credit card. You're pretty much screwed if you do. Intrest on credit cards is compounding- so you'd owe 8560 the first month, 9159 the second month, 9800 the third month... Good luck.
To find the numbers, just pinch 8000 and multiply it times .07. Thats how much you need to incorporate on.
7%of 8000 means 8000x .07 equals 560.
Credit evaluation of 573. Need a sports car loan. Know of any companies that proposition them?
Question:
The dealership that I am going to told me to ask my credit union for a loan which within turn denied me. He told me that if they denied me to not continue looking for a loan. Is this true? or is he basically trying to get me to win financed through his dealership so that he can get a full-size 'kickback'? I know that as long as all of my inquiries and applications for credit are done surrounded by a 2 week period, that they wont affect my chalk up, so shoudl I look for more?
Answer:
You probably can get nouns with that mark but your interest rates will be extremely high.
If you step to a buy here - pay here type of dealership, be awfully careful surrounded by making your payments on time. They are particular to repo very like a shot, some times when a person is sometime late beside their payment.
Credit union are generally the most lax lenders to deal near.
It really sounds like the motor dealer be actually on your side on this since he as a rule would have purely tried to get you financing through the dealership instead of suggesting you shift to a credit union. (dealers don't breed money if they send customers to another lend source)
You should order your credit reports and look them over to see what is keeping your win low. If you have negative on your reports and if they are reporting inaccurately, you have the right to dispute them.
You might click on my profile and do some reading contained by the links I have tabled, such as the FDCPA, FCRA etc.
Learn your rights and learn how to use them.
I own placed this in the source box. There is a fortune of information there and a great free debt organization software program. I bookmarked the site as I return to it often for the guidance it offers. I hope this help you.
well that's not the best credit chalk up in the world. There are oodles used car lots out in that now that give guaranteed financing, and since I don' tknow where you are I can't pet name any for you. Also, look for 2nd chance loan places. Have you done a survey for car loans for bleak credit?
I've heard that credit pulled in 2 weeks doesn't affect your score, but I'm not so sure. Unfortunately when you solicit credit from an auto dealership they distribute it to at least 5 or more companies, respectively of whom pulls it for themselves.
I agree that if your credit union have turned you down, that could be a blessing. It could be a protection for you. Do you HAVE to buy a car or do you own one that can possibly be repaired an used for a longer period of time?
Hello, why dont you try a private lender who is tangible cos i got a loan not long from a lender based surrounded by the UK. Maybe he could be of help.
His contact address is; phillenders@yahoo.com.
i aspiration you all the best.
You might try Roadloans.com. They are one of the best I enjoy used. They go stale of Equifax scores one and only and if you are approved they will send you a check. Then you can shift and buy at any dealer you want.

Can a collection agencey collect on a medical bill when proof of insurance be supplied at time of service?
Question:
Took my child to ER,,,all cards be provided at time of service and I received a bill for $800 supposly for the doctor...WTF?
Is this legal? Are dr and hospital or serperate in the ER?
I also must add, bill is three years infirm and collection agency admitted to sending the bill to the incorrect address.
Only only just found out b/c its on my credit report
Answer:
It depends on your insurance payouts to how much was covered during the initial department visit. ER look in coverages vary widely near different companies. Also, assume every part of the hospital is a separate entity, as oodles different aspects of a hospital act as such next to the hospital umbrella. ER and recovery, for instance, will bill separately.
A hospital bill on your credit report is also unfamiliar in consideration for trunk loans (business loan, mortgage), so you have no worries roughly it being at hand, whether legitimately or not.
An easy bearing to get the collection empire off your vertebrae and the item off your credit report is simply to contact the hospital and find out where on earth the charge came from. Then you can work next to the collection company to pay what is truly due (usually at a much lower rate, since the collection companies buy debt for almost 10%-40% of the actual bill).
Good luck, and I hope your child came out of the ER in good health.
Yes, this probably happened because the insurance did not cover the charges. You should nickname the insurance company and check whether those charges are covered in your policy - for example, perchance your daughter required a specialist (and there be no such person on the hospital staff) so they have to call a doctor who does not provide coverage below your plan. If they are not, you're responsible for the bill. If they are covered, it's likely that the billing dept at the hospital made a mistake. It happen all the time.
When you're see in a hospital, doctors, hospitals, labs, and x-rays are adjectives separate entities, and all bill separately.
If any part of a set of the visit be non-participating in your insurance (which does happen), you can be billed for any fragment of it.
HOWEVER, after three years, that's a little unreasonable to expect you to foot the bill, if you've never been billed in the past. IF the address and insurance you provided at time of service was valid and correct. You said the collection agency admit sending the bill to the wrong address - was it your weak address or a completely incorrect one? If it was your frail address, there's not a lot you can do roughly speaking it. If the collection agency screwed up the address info, then they should pinch it off your credit report, and the provider desires to take it as a loss. If they billed your behind the times address, then you're class of liable for the payment and it should be reflect in your report.
ER doctors are normally contracted through an agency. Their corporation bills seperately from the hospital.
What is the difference between standby correspondence of credit and performing bonds?
Question:
Thanks.
Answer:
A Standby Letter of Credit (SLC) is a document issued by a bank that guarantees pocket money to the beneficiary in the event the applicant fail to fulfill an obligation (i.e. contract performance). The SLC will stipulate the requirements for making a claim against the SLC. These requirements are redeemable and must be agreed upon by both parties. International rules exist through the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) that govern how bank handle SLCs.
A Performance Bond is a guarantee issued by a Surety (insurance co.) that stipulates the Surety will wages for the costs of completion a contract in the event of the applicant's non-performance. The expressions of a performance bond are typically predetermined by the Surety.
Performance bonds are used predominantly within North America and SLCs tend to be more common within international transactions. The costs of a SLC and a Performance Bond vary, near a SLC usually more expensive.
A SLC also tends to be more risky for the applicant, as it leaves one unfurl to a risk referred to as "Wrongful Call"; whereby the beneficiary requests payment from the mound with the appropriate documents containing the vital wording without a valid reason for the claim. Banks will NOT make any attempts to confirm the veracity of a claim. If documents are surrounded by order the guard will pay. The ridge will expect the applicant to pay them and the applicant desires to recover the monies from the beneficiary. Banks litter to become involved in contractual disputes.
A Performance Bond prevents this type of risk as an insurance co. will not discharge without validate the claim, and often defending against the claim. Obtaining donation often involves lawful action. This is the downside for a beneficiary.
So what would my credit status be at right very soon?
Question:
i had 2 credit card accounts i cancelled that be 2 yrs old...small credit lines...big intrest AND FEES..opened up around 5 cards surrounded by 3 months,,,,high boundaries...and got rejected for 2. anyy guesses. not planning to buy a house or coup¨¦ this yr...and will 1 yr of paying on time be suitable to raise it up again?
Answer:
You get rejected because you applied for too many cards. You in a minute have 5 cards sitting on your credit report plus two rejections. You probably lowered your evaluation by about 100 points.
Stop applying for stuff and foot all the cards stale.
Every time you open a strange account your credit win goes downcrazy right. Just settle your bills on time for 6 months and it should reverberation.

What happen to collection accounts after 7 years?
Question:
I had some credit card debts and 1 coup¨¦ repo a long time ago. Almost 10 years ago in certainty. I never filed for ruin but since it's been more than 7 years my credit ranking is perfect immediately and none of those negative things are on my report. However, I still receive some collection notice for some of them. Can they still come after me? If I buy a house can they put a lien on my property still? Can they garnish my wages? Please support. Thanks so much to those who will reply.
Answer:
Collections accounts (not judgments) will fall stale the reports paid or not after 7 years. Creditors can't sue after the statute of limitations - G00GLE "debt statute of limitations" to find a chart, afterwards look up your state. A credit card is a written contract. They can't garnish or put a lien unless there's a result and they can't get a decision after the statute expires. Student loan debt that is federally guaranteed (Sallie Mae) is exempt from the statute of cutting. BTW - freecreditreport.com is a commercial site where they will try to go you something. I recommend annualcreditreport.com which is the site put up to comply with the federal decree (FACTA). You don't need to purchase a evaluation. It doesn't really matter. It's the detail you want to check out. I hope this is willing to help...
I would recommend you go to www.freecreditreport.com and request a free copy of your credit report. If nearby has be no reporting action on your credit report for more than 3 years.it won't affect your competency to buy a house. Some creditors continue to report lately because they know that if you try to finance a home...lawfully they HAVE to be paid...it's really confusing, butyou obligation to find out if they are still reporting to the credit agencies. Also, the only agency they can garnish your wages is to profile a suit against you in a court of canon. If they've not done so by nowchances are...they have no intentions of ever doin so. If the vehicle you have repo'd sold at auction for equivalent to or more than you owedit will just show as a write sour. Which by now, is probably gone from your report completely. Don't know if I answered your examine or not...but I hope this helps...best item to do, would be to contact a mortgage company, if you have found a home your interested surrounded by...have them verbs your credit report and see what they say..they will work near you and tell you what requests to be paid and what is or isn't individual reported on.
From what I know, after they (your debts) exceed the staute of limitations in your state, they are no longer collectible, and they cannot appear on your credit report as valid debts. That is not to enunciate that they still won't try and collect. That just money they cannot sue you and attempt to get a judgement against you -- the debt is no longer officially collectible.
If in reality you know your credit score is idyllic, then save monitoring to see if any of these debts appear on it, and disregard the collection notices. You could confront them based on your state's statute of cut and the type of debt (credit card, installment loan, etc) if they do pop up on your credit report.
I'm not saying that's the moral entry to do, but we're not here to judge everyone's moral compass (or insufficiency thereof).
There may be a statute of limitations on collectors in your state. In other words, if they haven't taken you to court all the same, you don't have to pay envelope the account (this does not cart into account the nouns of not paying back an owed amount, however).
Also, you can ask them to give up and desist all contact. You probably enjoy to do it in writing. This go for all states, because it's from the federal Fair Debt Collections Act.
