I arrived at my apartment tonight
to move more things when I walk
in the door, I notice all of the lights
be turned out. I left them on
so I could see when I walk in.
My hotelier or one of the maintnence
guys turned them out. I thought
they could not enter without concentration.
What can I do about this?
Answers: I'm not a legal representative but there really isn't anything you can do. Yes, it is still your apartment and you're lease or the tenant tenant laws surrounded by your area probably influence they have to afford you 24 notice, BUT, you own to prove that your landlord or the upholding guy was contained by the apartment and then you own to prove damages.
Even if you get them to allow they were surrounded by the apartment, they could easily claim it be an emergency type situation -- they were checking on the nouns of running water or some such entity.
Finish moving out. Take pics and make the manager or his agent do a walk thru next to you before you turn the key in.
