Lloyds TSB Amex Problem - Incompetence or Fraud - You Judge?

I had an un-requested upgrade of my credit a/c whilst in a foreign country, I returned home to discover transactions on both old and alien credit cards, half be reversed off the feeble card but the other half weren’t, going away me with over lb600 duplicated transactions on both cards.

The 1st month they took no DD and charged slowly charges on both accounts, the 2nd month they took half the amount set up, put it through the behind the times a/c, reversed it out, thus making payment to the unusual a/c a day slow, incurring late transaction charges on both a/c.

After 7 fruitless call, I wrote to them 6 wks ago, enclosing a spreadsheet which took an hr to put together, showing adjectives transactions in and out of both a/c. They replied truism it would take a month to look into!!

I stopped the DD to the hoary a/c, as it kept bouncing into the new reason which I had already remunerated and now I draw from calls, voicemail and correspondence, sometimes 2 x day for lb14. Call handler agree its clearly a bank error. Where do i stir from here?

Collection Agency give support to??

Answers:   I used to work in a dune. As you have sent a note of complaint and included spreadsheet they have responded to you near a general notification, this details how long they have to catch it sorted, otherwise they can be in big trouble near the FSA. It shouldn't take long to resolve as you've done the leg work for them, however they stipulation to explore all avenues. This involves numerous departments. If it is a guard error then you will own all charges refund to you, what you need to request after this is that the interest you've lost on the money within your current account (due to slipshod dd's etc) and the extra interest you've been charged on your credit card; whilst it's taken the time for them to sort out is also re-credited/debited accoirdingly. I wouldn't misuse my time going to Citizens Advice, it will only frustrate you more and they are not other that well up on such areas they usually refer you to somebody else. I hope that help you to recover your charges, to be reasonable most banks fit tightly to the banking code and enjoy copies available in branches. The bank have a moment ago lost the case surrounded by court about charges, so you shouldn't own any problems, it's more to do with protocol. If you are still unsure after your best bet is to make an appointment to see an teacher, they are all trained to accord with these query, the days of sitting down with your edge manager are long gone.
And don't forget because of adjectives the stress and hassle it has cause you that you are seeking compensation!!
Ask as many question as necessary to ensure you read between the lines what has happen and are happy next to the outcome, if not update them!
Good luck

Heeeeelllllp! 10 points effortlessly!?

Go to the citizen's advice folks and get their give a hand dealing with this past the bank's incompetence and bad service obtain you into serious difficulties. I have probably that the bank will sort things out eventually but by afterwards the problem could easily be beyond an apology and the repayment of some of the charges wrongly assigned to you..you call for to see the manager of your branch and you necessitate to have allowed advice first. Amongst other things you entail to know why it will take them a month to look through what it took you an hour to prepare for them..do not be bullied into paying charges you own not incurred or which are incurred through faults at the edge and do not pay for call which you have not solicited and which they enjoy no reason to trade name except their unwillingness to actually do their work properly!
