I brought this up before, but I'm have such difficulties getting it resolved. I went to apply for a CC and be denied due to the fact they claimed I already have one with them. I without beating about the bush looked up my Credit Report and indeed there be one in my identify. (someone, not a clue who, must have obtain my personal information) When I contact the CC company to inform them of the siutation, they simply don't beleive me. Since I don't have the right phone #, mother's maiden label, correct address as listed by the being who applied they are not being handy, and treating me as the bad guy. Has anyone be in this siutation, and if so how do you run about getting it corrected. I can see from my Credit Report they are running it up, and not paying it. Which is affecting my credit.
Answers: Put fraud alerts and freezes on your reports. File a police report.
Then, christen the credit card company again. Demand a manager and explain the situation. It is other possible that someone at the credit card company opened the justification because they had your info from your application.
Once your info is out near, ANYONE can use it.
Good luck.

File a Fraud Alert. This can be done with any one of the three bureaus and they relay it to the other two.
You can also bring back an Extended Fraud Victim Alert placed on your account, but you hold to have the sheriff's department report a report.
This will prevent that predator from opening any secondary accounts.
You may not be liable for the charges on that CC account because they didn't provide the correct mail address registered with the big three credit bureaus (TransUnion, Experian, Equifax).

I would put a freeze on my credit wallet so they won't be able to unambiguous anymore credit lines, as for the existing credit line I would dispute that card on my credit report and fill out an identity complaint form next to the FTC, read this article for more information http://www.monitorbankrates.com/how-to-b... Call the CC again and if they aren't helpful ask to speak to someone surrounded by their fraud department. They should be able to serve.
Also, check your CR personal information for an address or phone # that doesn't belong. The bills must be going somewhere.
Oh my goodness!
You'll hold to call/email or write to all 3 credit bureaus and permit them know what's going on.
I'd do it ASAP!
