Will any "dings" contained by my credit report still show 7 years latter? I own have awfully little stir surrounded by Idaho for 7

What I am asking is I have not declared ruin ever, I have have old student loans, collections and a charge rotten..lots of dings in my credit report..but they are for the most factor older than dirt rationale I have kept my principal low and avoided asking for credit except twice to get a house. Does the slate find wiped verbs and some of these big dings drop off my credit report at some point? I live within Idaho and there are some attempts I enjoy made to work on my credit report. For instance one item is back child support , but I hold been current almost from the begining! I want that rotten and then theres things I be part of from my finishing marriage...my ex declared liquidation after the divorce..would it show up on my report and not hers..I called the one place on my credit report beside the biggest debt and gave indentification and the programmed account number and nil was contained by their records or computer more or less it! I have to dispute items and try to procure it to the good side, but I am an amateur

Everything stays on your credit report forever, the only entity that changes is the status - i.e. salaried (Current), past due, contained by collections, discharged (bankruptcy), etc. Even if you declare collapse, it just change the status, but the info is still there. Discharged (i.e. bankruptcy) looks better on your credit report than within collections status or charged off.

The seven year promise is what happens after seven years of no distraction (i.e. no payments, no contact made acknowledging the debt), the debts' status is changed to charge-off. The seven years starts over every time your debt is sold to a untried collection agency and you have contact next to them or make a settlement. After seven years of resolution (i.e. the debt is no longer outstanding, paid, delcared bankruptcy), the cynical items no longer affect you (but still remain on your report), but considering that the debt is renewed every time it gets resold, that seven years can turn into abundantly more.

Back Child Support is most likely a acumen and you have to ask the court to remove it by supplying documentation that it be entered deceitfully, if it is correct, however, it will stay on there.

If your ex declared liquidation, it will only show on your report if the debts be shared, i.e. you both had a credit card on alike account. Only connubial debts are affected by one jamboree declaring ruin, and that is lone if you were married while the liquidation was claimed. Anything claimed after the divorce be settled would not affect you.

As far as the company you called, they most feasible sold your debt to a collection agency, which tries to collect and then sell it to another collection agency and so on and so forth. The original creditor may no longer hold records on you, but that doesn't expect that a collections agency isn't trying to collect on that debt.

I recommend that you get your credit report, you are entitled to one free report per year, from annualcreditreport.com , and see what is out here. Make sure to check all three credit reporting agencies because some may hold debts listed that others don't. Then settle on what the best option is for you.

If a creditor sues and get a judgment against you, they can purloin your money, and judgments can be renewed every five years (in Idaho), so they can try to collect their money virtually forever. If you don't hold a job or assets and don't plan on that contained by the future, after you are judgment proof so to speak, and would know how to avoid wage garnishment and etc.
