Insuarnce Claim Question?

So I was taken rotten my husband's health insurance rear in January b/c it be much cheaper for us to have separate policies. I go to the docs in February and used my own insurance card. However, I received 2 claim reports, one which be under my husband's entitle.

I called the insurance company, and the rep said something more or less secondary coverage, which I didn't really comprehend.

How would they even get my husbands signature if we have totally separate policies?

I'm so confused.. abet!

Answers:    You will want to call the rep rear and confirm that you have be canceled off of your husband's policy. If he's conversation about minor coverage, it probably means you're paying for both plans right very soon.

Carriers often association records on your Social Security Number, so if you be on your husband's policy, its easy to find both your current policy AND your older one. And of course, if it's equal doctor you had while on your husband's policy, the organization may have submitted to both insurances.
Possibly from the medical store bureau. More likely, you'd see that doc before, and they have both your old and your exotic insurance information, and billed both companies. It sounds like your doctor file with both insurance companies.
If you have seen this doctor earlier and used your husbands insurance, they probably still had that information on wallet.
If this is the case and you aspiration to file individual with one company, breed sure to let your doctors department know.
First off, very soon that you have your own policy you are primary lower than your coverage more than likely the service provider you go to billed your old insurance because they have your old information on wallet and just submitted it next to out updating your insurance information. 9 times out of ten this is the problem. Now, when you called your husband's insurance they mentioned lower insurance, if you purchase your policy on your own or have to settle thru your husband's work then they may own offered you to add yourself backbone on for a secondary shipper for you. If this is not the case and your husband works for a company where on earth either insurance benefits are free to body , or he's a member of a Union or fringe benefit fund (where segment of his contract is that the employer pays their fringe benefits to the union or company ) afterwards you may have coverage automatically as long as he is eligible on the policy. I would beckon them back and own them explain to you what the whole mentioning inferior insurance was just about and are you still active on the policy?
