I just checked our checking report online and there be a HUGE problem. We had be issued a check from an insurance company to reimburse us for car repairs. We deposited this check on April 3. It have already cleared online and everything--it showed the money in our story. Today I look and they have subtracted the amount of the check and a returned check duty. We already spent this money. What is going on? How do we fix it? Any idea how this happen? I have never experienced this back so I have no clue what to do. I tried to telephone call the insurance co but they do not have a 24 hr number so I departed a voicemail, called my sandbank they were no help out. I will call again surrounded by the morning but I am terrified...help out!
Answers: It's not a real insurance problem bar the insurance company sent you the bum check. Same as if someone else gave you a bum check.
Get ahold of the claim department and insist on their replacing the money plus anything you be charged by the bank for the returned check tax. If you don't get that, directory a complaint with your state insurance department.
