Who have the cheapest motorcycle insurance?

This is going to sound crazy but try to stay beside me here. I'm 17 about to be 18 and I live within Michigan. I'm going to be going to college in Lima, Ohio and will be driving hindmost to michigan every couple of weeks. I have a truck that sucks gas so I am going to buy a bike. Either an 98'-05' Yamaha YZF R6 or R1 I haven't granted yet. I be wondering who has the cheapest insurance for what I'm doing near the bike. Basically driving it long distance and to class every so often. It will be stored surrounded by my apartment down there whenever I'm not driving it. Can anyone relief me out. I know I'm a little young at heart for any kind of cheap insurance but I don`t know there is a company out at hand that gives breaks to college students? Well anyway the principal question is : From your experiences which company have the cheapest motorcycle insurance?

Answers:    Do a little homework (might as in good health get used to it) and be in motion online to get an exact quote try these sites:

http://www.progressive.com
http://www.USAA.com
http://www.geico.com
GMAC Motorcycle Insurance contact a Local Agent or christen 1-877-468-3466.
I have found that the insurance coverage provided by this insurance agency to be pretty cheap. Why don't you ask them for an online quote for your motorcycle? see if american reliable writes where on earth you live. they are a good company and own GREAT rates! if they don't try Progressive or GMAC.
Not exactly the right climate for motorcycles. Why don't you forget the motorcycle and just be in motion home less repeatedly? You're gonna be in college, so time to cut the apron strings. In texas we hold dairyland that has great motorcycle rates. I dont know if they enjoy it up there though but its worth a shot.
Try State Farm. They hold good rates. There's no "one size fits all" cheapest.

Progressive is probably going to be the best shot here, and the CHEAPEST policy will be one where on earth you own the bike outright, and can carry minimum liability merely on it.

And have fun driving between Michigan and Ohio from November through March.
