Homeowners insurance to fix foundation?

My mom has homeowners insurance on her house. is near any way she can draw from the foundation repaired through her homeowners insurance? please any advice at adjectives would be great.

Answers:    It depends on how the damage occur.
I think it will depend on how the reduce to rubble to her foundation occurred. Usually Homeowner's Insurance protects you from problems next to other people, etc. If it is crumbling (like over time) or shifted, the answer is NO. Insurance is for sudden and totally unplanned damage, not something that have happened over a long length of time (thus preventable).
its very doubtful since most foundation problems are from planet shift and thats excluded on home policies. if its from another problem, she can call her agent and see if he/she think it would be covered and worth filing a claim. I've never see a homeowners policy that covers the foundation. I'm not saying it's not out within, but I doubt it.

It's also going to depend on WHY the foundation needs to be fixed. Was it a fire? Maybe covered. Did it settle due to age? Absolutely not covered - this is commonplace, not an "accident". Water damage seep through the foundation is ALSO not covered.

Likely she's on her own for this.
