A friend has lost two days salary because British Gas failed to hold appointments they had made within order to move his gas meter. Advice appreciated. thank you.
Answers: I had 5 within 94 on the fifth one they actualy changed the meter! All i got as compo for loss of repay was .

Get your friend to write to them detailing that she have lost 2 days pay as a result of their engineers not turning up.
Tell her not to consent to them fob her off and to state that she would resembling compensated for her loss.
Not sure, what I would do is get it touch near them and if you get no thrill then shift to the regualtory body (OFFGAS i think). I know that when sub contractors for Welsh Water failed to turn up for an appointment I received compensation lb20/lb25. Thing is I ruminate it might be capped but if your friend have lost wages then I would suggest going to the Citizens Advice Bureau and seeing what could be done. i thought if be the national gas network that changed the meters.
