If I gain vigour insurance through my employer, what if any information do they hold access to?

I'm assuming they don't have access to every doctor's call round, procedure, etc. Do they have access to any information, similar to what doctors I'm seeing and how much I'm spending through insurance?

(I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan if it make a difference.)

Answers:    Because of the HIPPA privacy laws the employer does not hold any access to your private health information.
Deleting my answer because I totally misunderstood it. Sorry! Nope, they do NOT return with claims access. They WILL find out if you add someone or delete someone. Then it's a short time ago names, date of birth, SS numbers. THAT'S IT.
Your employer probably has someone that arranged a group insurance plan, but they're not your insurance provider (BCBS is). That puts your employer essentially on the same page as you. The solely difference is that the employer is a policyholder and/or insured, and you're just an insured. The company lone knows the name of the people on the policy. The solitary thing that I enjoy to add to the above is this...

If an employer is self-funded, next they may know the claims dollars you are incurring. (HIPAA privacy laws still apply to the private details of your visit, but since a self-funded employer is actually paying the claims dollars unmistakably they may be aware of what's being spent on your behalf.)
