Is it allowed for our group insurance company to mandate duration insurance?
Our group health insurance provider is very soon saying we own to buy life insurance through one of its completely owned subsidiaries. Is this legal surrounded by the State of Ohio?Answers: If your employer offers a group insurance policy, you hold to accept their choice if you want to assist. Otherwise, decline it.
I don't see how that can be legal. HOWEVER, are you sure it's not that you achieve a DISCOUNT IF you also buy the life insurance? Example, I enjoy State Farm homeowners AND auto, so I get multi-line discount. IF I have only the homeowners beside them and car elsewhere I'd find no such discount. In that case, the collection deal IS legit.
Once you clarify that if it's not a discount box deal, after I'd contact the AG's office (Attorney General) as I can't see a non-package traffic being legit.
NO.BUT FEEL FREE TO CHECK WITH THE STATE INSURANCE COMMISSIONER
usually employer automatically pay for gropu enthusiasm insurance equal to one times your salary and set aside optional second coverage - maybe the add'l coverage is what they are referring to?
Often group robustness plans offer a small (really small) group vivacity with the robustness coverage. It usually is in small amounts ($10,000) and is usually residence so it is really cheap. If you don't buy it, you may only let go a few dollars per year.
SO many ethnic group are vastly underinsured and only discover this certainty when a family applicant dies or when they become sick and cannot get coverage at a probable cost.
Go meet near a licensed insurance agent or financial planner and discuss your specific goals and your option.
IMO, group life plans are insufficient, costly and usually not portable. When you move out the company, the insurance disappears. If you stop working because of an illness, it is impossible to draw from coverage. (My $0.02)
Not enough information here.
If you want to buy group duration insurance, it HAS to be through whichever group your employer selects. If they're dictum you HAVE to have go insurance, then they hold to pay for the entire premium. If you want to buy time insurance with a different company, you can - but you enjoy to do that on your own. The ONLY coverage you can get through your employer, is the plan they pick, and they can pick ANYONE they want.
If you get hold of convicted of a DWI surrounded by Texas, do you enjoy to share your saloon insurance right away?
If you get convicted of a DWI contained by Texas, do you have to update your car insurance right away or linger till they find out, and then lift up the rates?I have a friend that hear a rumor that you have to database some sort of SR24 (not exactly what it is) with your coup¨¦ insurance or if you get surrounded by an accident and they find out you hold one on your record, they won't recompense for the car. I'm confused, but dont want to hang down ourselves either.
Answers: You don't hold to tell them, they'll find out.
That SR22 form is an support on your auto policy - you USUALLY have to enjoy it, if you've been driving WITHOUT insurance, or your license have been suspended. It's not triggered by the DUI, it's triggered by the suspension or shortage of insurance.
Yes, they'll find out about that DUI on their own - they're going to run a motor vehicle copy check every time your policy renews, and they'll find it then. Don't listen to rumors. When within doubt, talk to your agent.
An SR-22 is a requirement of the Dept of Motor Vehicles surrounded by many states when you hold too many accident, DUI (DWI) and the like. It shows the DMV that you hold met your states requirements for minimum (at least) insurance coverage and financial responsibility. Your insurance will have to issue it and you will own to keep it on wallet at the DMV for at least 3 years within order to remain licensed.
No sense surrounded by delaying the inevitable-contact your insurance company and consent to them know so that the SR-22 can be filed. They will find out eventually. Plus you don't want to compound your troubles by have your license suspended unecessarily.
