It was either drug overdose or suicide

Am I responsible for a two year out-of-date bill from a doctor who newly submitted it to the insurance company?

I pay adjectives my bills on time, I recieved an hoary bill from a doctor almost 16 months old for 3.88 i payed it on the bill it said my insurance company have payed the rest. Then i recieved another bill 6months later for equal business saying they submitted a bill to my insurance company and it be PENDING? Now this bill from a vist back contained by march of 2006 have been submitted to my insurance company again and they speak it is part of my deductible due? I payed adjectives of my deductable for that year. How can they change the billing so oodles times and then keep on almost two years to decide to bill me? I dont know how i am going to prove that i do not owe them since it be so long ago. (i know i do not) How can i handle this? thankfulness for your help..

Answers: One leeway is many insurance companies offer you access to your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) on-line. If you haven't already set-up an on-line account, do so immediately, and see if you can pull up the unproved EOB by entering the date of service and the physician's name. That will show that the charges be not part of your 2006 deductible.

If have on-line access to your EOBs doesn't help near this situation, it will be beneficial in the adjectives.

Right now, you enjoy to compare what the physician's office is recitation you and information the insurance company is processing.

Write your physican's office, consequently follow-up with a phone hail as and ask what claims they have file including the date of service, the charge and the service(s) rendered. Then, call your insurance company and ask the claims represensative to compare the information you received from the physician's bureau. Ask the claims representative, if these same claims weren't already filed. This will be simple satisfactory for him or her to determine and, if they were duplicate claims that be already processed and paid to your physican ask for a copy of the Explanation of Benefits.

The duplicate might own slipped through because so many claims are file electronically and aren't reviewed by an actual claims examiner. You will likely win this resolved quickly Good luck.
You want to call the company billing you... DId you reimburse them twice?
Unfortunately, the only proof to show you rewarded them, would be a receipt or a check copy, etc. Your insurance will be capable of tell you how much you OWE, but not what you certainly paid.
First of adjectives, the insurance company situation is your problem. Each time you go contained by a doctor's office they hold a statement that if for some reason your insurance company doesn't foot then you are liable for the bill regardless.

Since medical bills can and do walk to collection (and can ruin your credit though there are some law to protect you on this), I would recommend you pay the doctor/hospital bill direct and later work on getting the insurance company in procession after the fact.
Yes. You are responsible for adjectives services provided to you. It's up to you to figure out what the insurance company did or did not do.

Call the insurance company. Ask them what's going on. TAKE COPIOUS NOTES.
