Claims bonus?
i've been on a company van insurance for olden times 7 years, does this still entitle me to no claims?Answers: It depends. Were you actually down as a driver on the company policy? If you were next their insurer should be able to provide an experience notification which states you were claims free for teh bygone 'x' number of years. This should be accepted by another insurer as proof of self claims free, however there's no guarantee.
The insurance company will be accessing your driving transcript as a whole, and as a policyholder beside them. To get the quirk free discount, you must have be a policyholder with them next to a personal vehicle insured. Ask your agent or broker for more complete information as this can vary from company to company.

Will i be charged if i swap home insuranse companys loyds to barclays?
Answers: Most insurance companies have cancellation fees if you do so. If you can wait until it expires, I would suggest you do so or give your current insurance company a call and inquire if there are any penalties.
Some companies will short-rate you which means if you already paid the whole year, but only kept the insurance for half the year, you will get less then half the year's premium back. Other companies will prorate the amount, which means you'd get exactly the amount of premium back that wasn't used...so in my example above, you'd get half the premium back. You'd have to contact Loyds to find out which method they use.
