Question for Auto Insurance agents?

Do you have to own some kind of cirtification to legitimately sell an saloon Insurance Policy to a customer? Can a Receptionist legally deal in a policy?

Answers: In order to supply a policy, you have to be a licensed agent. To gain a license, you take a class thats going on for 30-40 hours over the course of a week, then you are eligible to pocket the test. The class will cost around $200, and the question paper is around $85 to take, this would more than possible be paid by your employer or the agent. Once you are licensed, you can later sell a policy, bequeath advice, discuss coverages, sign applications, etc. Until you are licensed, even discussing coverages over the phone might be off the record, and if you give the client the wrong information, and a legitimate issue comes up about it, It might be disasterous. A receptionist can with the sole purpose give insurance info to banks/lenders, and report a client the coverages they have, but not discuss what they cover. Hope this help.

Get license from IRDA (Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority). You hold to select Whether Life or General insurance. In general insurance single Auto comes.

The basic intellectual qualification is +2, age 18 years with nouns mind.
You need to be licensed within most of the countries I know around the globe.
The one and only country I know in which no license is required for an insurance agent is Ukraine. Anyone can be an agent, beside no education, license or training.
You do inevitability a certificate from the state stating that you are authorized to do so. In lay down to get this you would own classroom time and pass a comprehensive try-out. If the receptionist is licensed she can legally trade a policy, if not the answer is no.
You enjoy to have a license to trade insurance in your state, surrounded by order to put on the market a policy.

Some receptionists have that license. If the receptionist doesn't hold the license, they can't sell. They can't explain coverages, they can't do anything except mitt you the paper to sign. In some states, they can't even adopt a payment.
Yes, you own to have an insurance license to market insurance. But, a receptionist could give you the paperwork to sign and hold an agent sign where they inevitability to. The receptionist wouldn't be able to discuss anything just about the insurance with you really, except administer you the price. But, I'm a receptionist/Secretary in an insurance bureau and i am licensed to sell insurance as in good health. So, unless you asked the receptionist if she was licensed, you really don't know if she be or not.
