i called Progressive Insurance company the other light of day because i didn't want to extend my policy for another 6 with them that they automatically enrol me in because they have my information stored.These are the questions she asked me, please make clear to me if they have the right to do this. (I guess she does, since i answereD!) but i'd approaching to know your opinion.
1. Why do you want to undo (yes this is a valid question)
2. Who are you switching to?
3. how much are they offering?
4. what are you going to have covered next to your new provider?
Then she go and tells me to verify everything and verified what i have with them since then resembling 5 minutes later human being put on hold..she said "yes, what you were paying earlier is the best price we can offer you"
contained by my head i'm close to "!WHAT? did you she just run a quote minus my permission?" Can they do this to associates!?

Answers: OK, ALL of the 50 states require that, unless an insurance company has established to not renew your policy, AND provided you with mortgage written notice between 30 and 60 days (varies by state) PRIOR to renewal, they MUST provide you near a written renewal quote, or automatically renew the policy.
Aside from question #1, the others are NONE of their business, you don't enjoy to answer. YES, they can run a quote without your okay.
Progressive customer service is HEAVILY scripted. She's going to try to talk you into staying near progressive. That's what she gets salaried to do. That's how they handle contradiction calls.

The Progressive those on the phone are sales ancestors. All she was doing be trying to sell you a contemporary 6 month policy.
Of course it's legal. YOU call THEM.
yes they can do that. she did it because she wanted to maintain you as a client. she was trying to see if they could contribute you a better quote than what you got from someone else.

Answers: From someone in your native country.
oh wow, thats tough. I really don't think you can, because (perhaps) you are not a citizen of the U.S. (i dont want to jump to conclusions...)
If you just lost it, then you should be able to be sent a replacement, or a temporary print out.
When you are born as a U.S. Citizen, you are issued a Social Security number. You have it your entire life, and it never changes (that I know of.). If you are an immigrant and you are approved to be a U.S. citizen, you are issued a SSN (Social Security Number). And yes, if you are an illegal immigrant, you need to get..out..and go somewhere else.
Now, in the even that you are a true blue citizen, and you just don't have a social security CARD, you can contact the Social Security Administration and obtain one, or, read about how you can further obtain one.

With no social security number, you're not an American, and you don't have a work permit. So you can't buy a health insurance policy here.
With no Social Security Number, how did you get a drivers license?
We have companies that insure without one (social security number) but normally the individual has a foreign drivers license.
You need to look in your area for a specialty auto insurance agent - one that normally has the large ads in your local yellow page book - and call them to see what is required in your locale.
