My proposal. Just because a claim isn't covered does not necessarily mean that the policy be mis-sold - whether it was mis-sold would depend on what happen at the time of the sale, for example, be the cover explained?

As I understand it from your interrogate it is not the case that the claim will not be rewarded but rather that it will be restricted to 12 months. The vast majority of PPI policies just pay claims for up to 12 months, as these policies are designed to provide short possession cover during periods of acting unemployment or sickness.

If the policy be mis-sold the most common remedy is to terminate the policy and refund any premium(s) rewarded. This is because it puts the consumer back within the position they would have be in if the disputed policy have never been taken out. However, this would aim that it is as if there have never been any cover contained by place, so you would have to repay the benefits received for the redundancy claim and would not be entitled to any giving for the sickness claim. Therefore, if the amount you received for the redundancy claim plus the amount you will get for the sickness claim is more than the premium(s) remunerated it is unlikely to be worth your while disputing the sale.
