Answers: The Shop & Compare Rates website the state created is worthless and full of companies that haven't wriiten a contemporary Florida homeowners insurance policy in years.
The solely site I know of that you can use that will tell you exactly who is writing homeowners insurance contained by Florida by county is called The Home Insurance Buyers Guide located at:
http://www.homeinsurancebuyers.org
I lately checked the site recently and it does hold a decent number of companies still writing unusual Florida home insurance in main Floriday.
I learned give or take a few the site in this Florida Today article:
http://www.floridatoday.com/apps/pbcs.dl...
If you use The Home Insurance Buyers Guide and still can't find a company, after you will know for sure that Citizens is your only choice.

I am a central Florida resident and I know that the insurance issue is a difficult one. All I can say-so is keep trying every place that you can find. My insurance have doubled annually over the past few years and I've have to raise the deductible to an outrageous rank just to afford the premiums. I've call other companies and no one wishes to help me because I have hurricane damage contained by 2004.
Allstate doesn't insurance homes in Florida anymore and I ponder State Farm is too busy cancelling homes to write any hot ones, but you might want to try them.
I wish you the best of luck.
Try a brokerage house that sell a bunch of companies insurance maybe they will ahve something for you..any approach 1700 a year really isnt that bad for florida considering interweave and flood are so high here...citizens might be your simply hope. If you used a Real Estate agent ask them and also ask the current homeowner who insures them.
I am central florida raltor and i would furnish you my email to try to help but yahoo think i am trying to solicitye something..anyway you can email my profile if you really get into a bind
Nope...clear it.wood frame house in Florda?
Here's a Florida agent: www.huttinsurance.com who represents a bunch of companies.
BUT, the FL homeowners insurance flea market is a MESS. Until recently, Citizens ( the state fund) be the only taker. In former times six months or so, there own been several foreign startup companies who are interested in writing homeowners, also, HOWEVER, I haven't found ANY who are rate by AM Best (so I won't recommend an unrated carrier).
That state fund is PROBABLY the only place you're going to find coverage, if you've already looked around.
If Hutt isn't close to you, you can also find an independent agent at www.iiaa.org website.
If you're looking for, utter, Georgia rates, or Michigan rates, in Florida, it's not going to appear. Florida is in Hurricane Alley, and the rates are appropriately high. As you found out from contacting AARP, in attendance are a lot more companies NOT likely to write insurance in FL, than at hand are, willing. Even some EXISTING companies that write homeowners, won't write a different policy.
Good luck.
I have tried it myself, here is some appropriate informations.http://insurance.online-assistant.info/n...

Math quiz roughly cars and insurance?
I make 10 dollars an hour, full time employment, 80+ hour checks with in the order of 100 dollars in commission monthly. (1700 a month beforehand taxes). I have to settle up my rent, 325, my electric, 200 a month, and my phone bill- 40 dollars a month. My internet is 15 a month. How much do you think I could repay for a car, and insurance for a vehicle without going broke? As within, what kind of price brackets should I stay contained by? I've been driving a vehicle that's paid rotten since I was 16, presently that car is falling apart. I involve help, I've never done this since! :)
Thanks!
Answers: Hi Kati..
this is ray..if u divide your web income by 33% that will tell you what u can spend. Now remember explicitly the maxium for the car and insurance ok a month..The guard figures one and the same way when they loan money. And the process they do this is. 33% for houseing and electric 33% for liveing costs..and 33% for car n insurance
First, you didn't document how much you spend each month for food, gas, and miscellaneous expenses. You call for to take adjectives these into account.
Next, contained by my opinion, if you can't pay packet cash for it.you can't really afford it. Because, if you nouns your new vehicle, your lienholder will require you to save full coverage insurance until you pay the loan sour. Assuming that you currently only get liability insurance, full coverage will cost roughly double what you're paying now.
My suggestion is to accumulate as much money as you possibly can every month until you have plenty money to pay for the vehicle you want surrounded by cash. You'll be much better stale in the downfall!!
