How can you know for sure what an attorney settled for?
i was within a car catastrophe and was reffered to an attorney by a friend. until that time i got the attorney my broker have tould me that my insurance was going to income for the hospital bills and the other cars insurance was going to reimburse for the repair to the car. my QUESTION IS how do i know what mya ttorney settled for? and if he is going to to through my insurance to payment for the medical bills and the other insurance to pay for the repair to the vehicle and the money for my affliction n suffering? or is he gonna just step for a total amount from the other insurance company to pay for everything. EXAMPLE he settles for $20000 and take out his fees, the medical bills, and the money to repair the car. PLEASE HELP ME!!Answers: Ask your attorney - that's what he make the big bucks for! You should have signed an agreement beside the attorney that explained in MILLIONS of words merely what he is going to do to you, er, uh, I mean FOR you.
You can rest assured that he is going to win you everything that he can coming to him, er, uh, I mean to you.
Remember that an insurance policy have "fixed limits" of coverage - so, if the policy had a maximum amount of coverage of , enunciate, $20,000 and your attorney ends up getting 40% plus expenses - do the math. Doesn't leave much to reward bills with.
I guess you should ask your friend that referred you. Maybe you should enjoy dealt near your insurance agent/broker first.
Now, your insurance agent/broker CANNOT assist YOU in any path due to your attorney involvement.
Good luck and I hope this helps!
Your attorney negotiate the settlement, YOU SIGN THE PAPER. So, read the paper.
Or ask him.
Ask your attorney what the final settlement be and what it included. He cannot withhold this from you! Your attorney cannot settle your claim without your consent. YOU own to sign the final release of settlement paperwork. Also, some states, CT, RI and now MA require the insurer to distribute the claimant a letter advise them that the settlement check was issued and for what amount.

What it gets you is preferential treatment - if the choice is between someone beside a cpcu, and someone without it, everything else mortal equal, the cpcu guy gets the opportunity.
Usually the salary is not anything.
Most CPCU's operate on a draw against commission business, and the % commission varies, depending on the policy and the premium, and renewals.
