Would the insurance company find out?
My father in directive died recently and we hold had problems near his bank vindication because he didn't leave a will and my wife told the mound that she has an elder brother , who has not be in touch next to the family for all right over a decade, so now we hold a problem with probate. Her dad also have a small value time insurance policy which has be paid by my wife for times past 10 years ( but it is her late mother who be the proposer on the policy) and the insurance company have our address for the collection of premiums. We enjoy recieved a claim pack from the insurance company and one of the questions is " how abundant children are there?" I am really tempt to put 1 ( my wife ) but would they check and find out she has a bother ?Answers: I vend insurance for a living and have deal with this earlier. Typically ONE living child can fill out the forms but you do want to include any siblings in the packet. In my experience however, unless your father specified how to split the destruction benefit among his beneficiaries you shouldn't have a problem acceptance the death benefit adjectives to you. if u lie, they could find out, and consequently be in trouble for insurance fraud
