Question re: insurance premiums and taxes?

I've read that health insurance premiums can be itemized deduction. Any others? What about calamity insurance I pay for out of my pocket? I retribution for both accident and sickness premiums to indistinguishable company and pay for adjectives my policies out of my pocket. Any help is appreciated.

Answers: Health insurance premiums are lone deductible if your total health expenses exceed 7.5% of your agi and the robustness premium was rewarded for after tax. (ie not a cafeteria plan where on earth premiums are not considered part of your income.)

I'm not aware of any other insurance premiums that are deductible.
Only if you're self employed. If you're not self employed, the premiums aren't tariff deductible. Accident insurance, IMO, is a waste of money. And it's not import tax deductible.

Insurance beneficiary request for information?

My grandmother has a go insurance policy that names my aunt as the primary beneficiary. My aunt lately passed away. There is no contingent beneficiary. My aunt had a husband -- does he bring the money?

Grandmother has a 2nd policy that list my (now deceased) aunt as the primary and mother mother as the contingent. I believe my mother gets this policy free and clear. Is that correct?

My grandmother seem to be 'on her way out,' so to speak and we cannot bring back her to sign and update the beneficiary status on policy #1 at this time.

Answers: No, your aunt's heirs do NOT get hold of the money, assuming your grandmother is still alive.

Your grandmother should change the beneficiary clause, if she have any lucid moments, otherwise, the money will go to her estate (and will be used to foot off adjectives her debts, before any heir can get it).

Unless she change the primary beneficiary clause on the second policy, yes, your mother would get the money.
Hello. For your grandmother's first policy, no, it will not turn to her husband. The money will go to your grandmother's estate.

On the 2nd policy, it will step to the contingent beneficiary.
Your grandmother's insurance agent should handle this situation. Call him. If she is not "of sound mind," I'm not sure if she is adept of updating beneficiaries. Usually, if a beneficiary is deceased, her subsequent of kin will inherit.

My house be broken surrounded by to and laptop be stolen, hows does the insurance company concord beside it?....?

My laptop was stolen and I enjoy insurance. I have insurance which covers belongings similar to digital camera ect and my laptop insured separately to lb500. do I have to prove how much I compensated for it and what the spec was? I remunerated lb330 for it including a discount so do I need to find one for a similar spec and price or in recent times find a laptop for up to lb500

Answers: can't imagine you'll draw from more than the current fair flea market value of a used piece of equipment of same model, etc.

be prepared -- that could easily be 150 pounds at most.

and if there's a deductible [as is adjectives here in America] they help yourself to the deductible off the used fair-minded value.
Insurance usually say to replace to the value. If your paying
insurance on lb500 you would hold had to chronicle date and place of
purchase.Mine was lb750 but get discount also and it's that price i'm on.
First and foremost you should present the original reception. Failing that then you're going to enjoy to show a credit card or bank statement showing purchase efficacy if you have them. As a second resort you'll need at the really least to present the instruction book and a copy of the guarantee or warranty. If you have the receiving then you will merely get the worth of the receipt minus anything your excess is. If you don't have the acceptance then there's no course of your insurers knowing that you received a discount so you you'll get the current souk value of that spec of laptop, again minus doesn`t matter what your excess is. What you can't do is put in a lb500 claim for a lb330 laptop.
