Insurance Questions and Answers

Can anyone tell me how i find out if an insurance policy that is over 40 years old is worth any ting?

Answers: Yes it will be worth something. Do you know who the company is? Can you ring them and ask.
My mum discovered that my grandad had taken out an insurance policy when she was born...it was only 2p per week.she's waiting for a cheque now for £405.not much but as my dad would say better than a kick up the backside!!
You call the company and ask them, assuming you're the policy owner or the executor of the estate.

There's no central database, or online lookup method, if that's what you're asking.
Simply depends on what type of cover it is and whether the premiums have been paid.

I newly received my Medicare card, and I am also covered underneath my wife's condition plan. Do I reward?

When I go capture a prescription or go to a doctor, since I hold double coverage, am I completely covered, or do I still have to remuneration co-pays and things like that?

Answers: Yes, you will still hold co-pays.

There is the potential for major problems here. If you hold group coverage through an employer, you continue to work, and the group plan have more than 20 employees, the group is primary and you don't hold to take Part B. You will still own the co-pays from the group policy.

If you are retired or the group has 20 or a reduced amount of employees Medicare will be primary and you will own to sign up for Part B and pay the Part B premium. If you don't the group plan may or may not foot for anything that Part B would have covered if you have it. You will possibly have the Medicare deductibles and the Medicare 20%. The group plan may or may not pick up some of the deductibles and percentage. If you adjournment Part B when you should have it in that are rigid time periods, requirements, and possible Part B penalty when you do sign up.

You should contact the group plan as well as Medicare to find out how you should proceed.
Medicare is other considered primary and your wife's health plan lesser, you will still have co pays and deductibles to come together. Please talk next to your wife's human resource person to discover what subdivision her insurance will cover.
