Travel insurance (UK): how to claim for norovirus?
I know I'm daft, but I booked a non-refundable Jet2 return airline ticket. On the night earlier departure I got a tummy bug that made sure I couldn't travel - but I could just visit a GP any. In 2 days I was adjectives clear again but of course the trip have come and gone.I do however have travel insurance near AXA (annually) and I got a policy out on the flight itself beside Travellers Protection Services Ltd (http://www.jet2.com/content/EN/popups/TP...
Has anyone got experience contained by trying to make a claim for something approaching this?
Answers: You could claim under the invalidation clauses but they will want proof that you were indeed rotten sick. Go to your doctor and he will examine you and ask you questions more or less your illness. He should after be able to issue a pass. You might need to wage him up to lb30 for this service so be prepared.
You would need some independant evidence that you be ill and a proper diagnosis. If you didn't see a doctor you probably can't claim.
Ring AXA and ask their warning. I don't understand why you took out superfluous insurance on the flight... that usually creates a problem because insurance companies don't pay out if you are insured elsewhere for like peas in a pod thing.
Is it possible to start your own car insurance agency?? in Australia?
Answers: Yes but you will need a big amount of money.
i agree with the first answer. re the second answer, you would actually need to get re-insurance so if the money you receive in your pool of funds is exceeded by the dollar value of claims, you can make a claim on your re-insurer.
it would be possible, but definitely not for an amateur.
You can if you are duly licensed.
I suggest you will first consult with an insurance agent - call some and tell them of your plans, find the one or more that will agree to discuss with you this option.

Have a nice light of day.
You might want to check directly with Hartford and other insurers. AARP get a cut of the premium of any insurance they sell and that usually add to the price you have to foot.
Might be best to cut out the middleman and check directly with an agent who sell Hartford.
