Why can't I attain my claim compensated?
Back in December, I have my annual ob/gyn visit. Because of some issues, she suggested that I hold an ultrasound done to check for fibroids. They were competent to schedule it solely 2 days later - results showed everything be fine. The bill was submitted to my insurance company and the charges be applied to my $1500.00 deductible. I asked why this wasn't paid. I be told because it was due to a condition. If it be coded as Preventive Care then it would hold been compensated. I told them it was done because of my every twelve months visit.
I call my doctor several times but I always capture a call rear from someone else - the records department, the nurse, etc. Everyone is going by what the doctor wrote but I don't even know if they hold talked to her and explain that my insurance company won't reward anything on this.
Is there anything that I can do to find this claim paid? It seem as though I am going around in circles and not getting anywhere.
Answers: Get personal next to the dr office. The subsequent time you call a human being make it personal. When they confer their name ask something similar to Hi (insert name) how are you? Tell them what's up and let them know you involve help. Tell them you are sure they can abet. Ask for their help, and ask if you can contact that specific being for more help. In my experience ethnic group want to help more beside things like this if you flatter them and stay positive. Making it personal make them feel more obligated.
Your claim would enjoy been remunerated under your twelve-monthly physical, but a ultrasound is not a routine procedure for an annual exam. Most annuals include, pap smear, blood work and mammogram.
Since your doctor was looking for something because of a symptom, it wouldn't be rewarded under your annual physical. If your insurance compensated for everything else associated with this drop by, I think you might hold to pay.
It would seem to be, going by what you have stated, "because of some issues," that the ultrasound be ordered because of a possible existing medical condition. It was not ordered as chunk of your annual gynecological exam, therefore the ultrasound would be subject to the annual deductible.

Answers: Even though it will vary from state to state, I'm secure that there are carrier that will accept you. Any complications from the gastric bypass will not be covered for a time of time, but since it has be a year, that should not be an issue any longer. Locate a broker in your nouns and let them present you a definitive answer and help you go and get coverage.
Since you had a surgery for consignment loss you will have a "pre-existing" condition, so they won't cover you for any bug that may be related to your procedure. In NJ they will not cover that illness for 6 months- 1 year depending on what compassionate of coverage you get. They will cover you for any other illnesses though.
