Answers: HRA is not actually insurance. A Health Reimbursement Arrangement or Health Reimbursement Account is usually used within addition to regular insurance to provide coverage for items and procedures not covered by the insurance. It is similar to a FSA (Flexible Spending Account) except solely the employer can contribute. It can cover the co-pays and deductibles and even over the counter medications.
There are several different option to how an HRA can be set up and used so there is no passageway to tell exactly how your plan will work.
Never hear of it.
