Why does cell phone insurance help yourself to my antiquated cell phone? I salaried for it... they shouldn't acquire to hold on to it... right?

I recently bought a up to date cell phone from t mobile, my dog chewed on it, I have insurance, so I be willing to recompense the $50 deductible, but I dont understand why they net me give them my antediluvian phone, that doesnt seem right, I own the hoary phone, so I dont think this is legalized.

Answers:    Because once you put the claim in, the insurance company is in truth buying the old, destabilized phone from you.

Just like if you enjoy a car, and total it - once the insurance company pays for it, it's theirs. You capture the NEW one, INSTEAD.
They paid you for the phone so it's theirs. It's matching way beside cars. If you total it out and they pay for it it's theirs. ate
You asked them to replace it right? They give you a new one, right? That make the old one theirs. when that insurance be handed out, they in a minute own the phone, do you really want to keep a chewed up broken phone?? i suggest what use would you have for it anyways??

did they provide you a trial phone?? if so they exchanged it for a phone that works you try and take that too court they will titter at you and even maybe permit u win by taking back the tentative phone and giving you back your prehistoric chewed up phone and thats it.
