This is both an "Immigration" question and a "Health Insurance" request for information. My parents will start living in the US several months a year or more as permitted visitors to live near us until they get green cards and can move here forever. They are close 56, 59 years old. How do I progress about getting them form insurance so unexpected condition concerns don't ruin them, they can get their prescriptions jam-packed w/o paying an arm and a leg, etc?
Are there specialized US insurance companies that submit insurance to non-residents that's worth anything? I don't need the gimmicky "travel insurance" that won't cover anything or require outrageous deductibles and paperwork sent to some levy haven country ... I need a reliable US insurer who can be found, operate under law of US, has customer service who can explain their policies, etc.
Answers: Contact International Medical Group, they supply the exact policy you are looking for. It is designed to cover people not within their home country. try imglobal.com 1-8OO-628-4664. for best results visit the net then call for customer service to walk you through the option
You won't be able to carry them "real insurance" until they're certainly here. Then they'll have to apply, which will be difficult since providing evidence of insurability - that they're not already impair - will need some medical evidence and their medical history will be outside of the US.
Unless you live within a state like NY, which bar insurers from denying coverage except in constrained situations, you may have difficulty.

Well, the real answer is, you're probably not going to be capable of get them this.
There aren't any companies specializing contained by this kind of risk, because, frankly, the companies can't charge lofty enough premium to cover the risks. Even if they be US Citizens, and living here all the time, they'd hold a HORRIBLE time finding insurance, even at $1,000 per month, per person, due to their age.
They'll own more luck with that gimicky travel insurance, sorry to right to be heard.
I tried to get clients strength insurance and found it hard, have to actually refer them to a huge brokerage house. I am curious to read the outcome of this as it's not a totally foreign question. http://www.phoenix-life-insurance.com Well, a couple of things you might want to consider.I've have good luck here...http://health-insurance.expert-tip.info/...
I do not know one one-sidedly but have you search the insurers sites to see what they can offer and how much they will charge you.
