What can I do when GEICO insurance don't wages me what I consider is fright?

My wife had an happenstance last week. It wasn't her responsibility as the police saw. They can't fix the car because is more expensive than provide us its actual value. Geico have offered us $3306 but we think that's not a equal price. Geico said can't give us any more money. What compassionate of help or where on earth should we ask for?

The car is a '01 Saturn SL1, brochure, Miles: 139000. We didn't have ANY problem near it; it's without a doubt the best coup¨¦ I had within my life.

Answers:    The insurance company does not use the Kelly Blue Book. Do not spend in dribs and drabs your time checking that value.

The insurance companies and bank use the NADA (National Automobile Dealers Assoc) book. Using the limited information you provided, I checked the good point there and Geico seem to be about right.

You can check the merit at www.nadaguides.com

What do you value the coup¨¦ at?
What data is your advantage based on?

The motor is not worth more just because you vote so or because you want more.

But -- again, from the very fundamentally limited information within your answer-- Geico's offer seem fair.

Geico owes you the Actual Cash Value of your vehicle. What someone would have purchased the coup¨¦ for. You may want ask $27,000 for the car b/c it's worth that much to you. Does not expect someone would pay that for it. The car's ACV is what someone would hold actually be willing to remuneration for the car to purchase it only just prior to the accident- given its age, condition, options and mileage.

If you don't similar to their offer- file underneath your collision coverage and see what kind of present your insurance company makes. No guarantee it will be highly developed - but you can see what they come up with. Then they will subrogate stern against Geico for repayment.
Hey. In Australia we have a consumer ombudsman. I'm sure you own one too. The role of the consumer ombudsman is to investigate complaints against companies to ensure you are being treated quite. If you are unable to find a number for the ombudsman/consumer affairs you should contact your local legitimate aid office and they'll point you within the right direction. Good luck! Hope I helped :-). In Australia we enjoy a consumer ombudsman. I'm sure you have one too. If you are incompetent to find a number for the ombudsman/consumer affairs you should contact your local legal aid department and they'll point you in the right direction.
If the Kelly Blue Book have a similar price then you probably won't obtain any more money. But you could always transport a letter of complaint to Geico first.

Understanding more or less depreciation of a car, and insurance is crucial if you want to lessen the headaches. Have you gone to Edmunds.com to find out what the utility of the car is? And consequently, you need to multiply the depreciation and the wreckage. That's what adjusters do. And how do you know that what they are offering is not a fair price? You a moment ago totalled it. Saturns don't have a great resale good point so if I were you, I'd transport the 3306. http://www.edmunds.com/saturn/sseries/20... As stated, they owe you the actual cash good point of the vehicle. Their offer sounds around right for the average condition vehicle you described. If you have maintain this vehicle in top condition, you might be capable of get more. But you are going to have need of maintenance documents to prove it.

You can also look for sales within your local market to see whether that good point is correct. NADA generally get the values close, but on occasion they miss it. I doubt it for a Saturn.

Overall, it is very soon up to you to prove that your vehicle is worth more than what was offered. You can folder a complaint with the DOI. You can sue. And within both cases you will have to show that their merit is not fair.
OK, I am on my second Saturn, and I LOVE it. I loved the first, too.

Well, you are your own agent - that's a problem, next to Geico - no one to encounter for you.

Police don't determine fault, though. If it wasn't her bad habit, that means it's someone else's condemn, right? In which case, if they enjoy insurance, you can go through their insurance.

On the saloon. You have a deductible - how much is it?? I took a immediate pop over to www.kbb.com to get a guestimate of meaning, assuming decent body, it's going to be something like $3100, less your deductible.

So *I*, a highest Saturn fan, surmise it's a fair tender.
