A request for information just about NJ robustness insurance coverage rules for pre-existing coverage:?

NJ law states that a brand new health insurer have to cover pre-existing conditions if that individual had 18 months of continuous coverage prior to the tentative coverage. If someone had over 18 months contained by coverage, then one month of coverage next to another insurer, then requests to switch to a different insurer, will the pre-existing coverage claus that requires an insurer to cover pre-existing conditions be in effect next to the third insurer? Does the 18 month rule only apply to the condition insurer that immediately precedes the current condition insurer or does it simply apply to 18 month of continuous health insurance even if the individual have two different health insurers?

Answers:   It doesn't event how many insurers you have, as long as the coverage was continueous. You could hold 18, and it would still apply. It's the "continuous" that's the important portion, not the number of carriers.
