I currently have Liberty Mutual, but work beside someone who lost all within a fire, and they treated them very defectively and were greatly rude and argued every point of coverage, and then dropped her. Want to alter to company with well brought-up reputation.

There was a time when State Farm wasn't writing Homeowners policies and I have to go elsewhere temporarily.wow - I have a housefire and my claims process was horrible! 3 years next, the electrician and the pool repairman haven't even been remunerated for what they did!
All the claims I've seen budge thru my office & adjectives other offices I've worked beside were so much simpler!
I would speak, if you qualify (you need to own a larger home), Chubb is by far the best company for claims paying. They look for reasons to settle up claims instead of deny. Also, if you have a total loss & choose NOT to redo (sell the land & stride away), they will send a check for the policy precincts, they won't try to figure actual currency value vs. replacement convenience.

If you hold Erie Ins in your state, or if you qualify for USAA, I'd heavily recommend both of them. I also really resembling Travelers. My personal homeowners is with State Farm.
