I had a vehicle accident and after gave them my insurance information such as my policy number and driver license number. I afterwards filed the report to my insurnace company concerning the accident,. Then few months subsequent I received a call from the personality I had the stroke of luck with, they said that they needed my claim number but I didn't make available it to him. I have no opinion why he wanted my claim number when I give him all the information he needed to report. He threaten to file me as "hit and run" to the police. Should I be verbs ? What would be best for me to do ? Thanks

Don't agree to him scare you - you've done the right entity
In order to report hit and run charges, he would have have to file the charges that daylight it happened, not months after that. Plus you have his information and he have yours, so he would end up file a false police report which he could get within trouble for. I wouldn't give up any of your information (like the claim number), bar what you have. Let the insurance companies concordat with it. Nope, you don't own to worry. You weren't a hit & run. He requirements to file through YOUR insurance, and not his, that's why he desires the claim number. If you WERE a hit & run, he wouldn't have your number!! As long as you give HIS contact information to YOUR insurance company, you shouldn't deal near this at all - tolerate your insurance company deal beside it.

Depending on the sense of humour of your local police force I’d say they’d any get laugh out of the station or locked up for wasting police time !
If they try to pretend you didn’t give them the details, have filed a report beside your insurer will disprove that and as previous answer said, get them into VERY hot sea for filing a rumour. Police everywhere take an EXTREMELY dim display of being lied to.
I don’t know what the exact rules are where on earth you live, but sounds to me like you’ve done everything you should. If the other culture want to chase up your insurer, your policy number should be all the info they have need of.
