I recently become unemployed and fell aft on my car insurance payments, so Swinton cancelled my policy. In proclaim to legally stay doing a tour, I took out a new policy through Swiftcover (much cheaper by the process!)
Swiftcover now require proof of my No Claims Discount, but will Swinton furnish it to me when I can't yet take-home pay the arrears on my premium? Or do they have to provide the proof anyway lower than the Data Protection Act?

Answers: IT IS LEGAL FOR SWINTON TO KEEP YOUR NO CLAIMS BONUS AS YOU STILL OWE THEM MONEY. YOU DONT GO INTO A SHOP BUYAN ITEM IN INSTALLMENTS AND EXPECT TO KEEP THE ITEM WHEN YOU STOP PAYING FOR IT. DO YOU?? UNTIL YOU CLEAR THE DEBT THEY CAN WITH HOLD IT DATA PROTECTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.
