Health insurance - canceling one creature on policy?

My husband and son both have Anthem insurance which they used to hold separately but Anthem hold now combined them together next to my husband as the policy holder. My husband now have health assistance through the VA and wants to stop his insurance with Anthem - if he does that, will they also terminate my son's because my husband is the policy holder now? We hold our own company so buy our own insurance. Anthem won't insure me because I had a slipped disc so I'm next to Golden Rule and it's a bit crappy.

Not disclosing information to an insurance company?

Answers:   Hey Lisa - is your husband coming home disabled? (IBS) If he is, you should look at the VA website in their condition care wedge. You and your son would qualify for a program called "CHAMPVA" it is a elected representatives health comfort extended to the service members of disabled veterans. It provides similar benefits as Medicare, and even if you enjoy another insurance, this can help cover some costs, and it have a small yearly deductable - I feel it is $50 dollars.

Anthem should insure just your son, but wether they do or don't - I would still at most minuscule look into that program.

Minnesota condition thinking insurance?

Hello.

You can request to have your husband removed from the policy and enjoy your son alone with his own coverage.

Re Golden Rule, which as expected is part of the UHC household...generally their rates are solid, but at hand can be some gaps contained by the policy. Perhaps if the disc is taken care of, you can check near Aetna or Anthem for a quote.

I hope this helps.
