How Can My Insurance Company do this!!?!!?

Ok I have remunerated every single bill on time since I've have the policy. I've had the policy for years. And going on for 2 months ago I was placed on Wellbutrin by my doctor and my Insurance Company canceled my policy because of that! This is in recent times so wrong! I mean partly of America is on Antidepressants does that mean that don't deserve condition insurance. It's not like I'm suicidal I am in recent times going through a lot of stress right presently and needed a little nouns! Fortunately I found a way next to the help of my insurance salesman that I could seize another policy. But now I hold a doctor bill that's over 600dollars that has to be compensated by me that should have be paid my insurance company because I be insured at that time. I am writing my state's Insurance Commissioner, is there anything else I can do?

Does anyone know how much a medical insurance biller and coder trademark?

Answers:   Your insurance company cancelled your policy, because of a current prescription your doctor wrote? They put that in writing? Because that's not going to stick, you can complain to your state insurance commissioner.

However, if you've ever be treated for depression before, and you lied on the application, they CAN stop you for that.

I'm an insurance clerk and I've never heard of this. I enjoy heard of insurance companies requiring you to do "step therapy' Which resources if the drug the doctors want you to take isn't a generic drug the companies require you to start out on a generic and THEN if that doesn't work you can move about to the brand name drug. Ask your insurance company to show you surrounded by their manual where on earth it stated your insurance would be cancelled Something in this story newly isn't right, and I feel you're one truthful, so you are probably leaving out something that you don't know is considerable. When your doctor prescribed Welbutrin did he diagnose depression? If so, did he state the duration of the depression so that it might have looked to the insurance company that you'd have it for some time? Find the specific wording of the denial letter your insurance company sent you and check next to the doctor if you need to to see what he said to them. Also, not clear what the $600 bill be for if all your doctor did be to prescribe Welbutrin.
