Insurance Questions and Answers

what is the difference between writing on admit and non admit tabloid surrounded by the insurance world?

Question:
underwriting property

Answer:
A couple of things. "Admitted" carrier are licensed to do business in your state - and subject to the rules and regulations, and SUPERVISION, of your state insurance department. So if you own any problems, complaints, etc, you can write to the insurance department, and they will intervene. Their policy forms have also be approved (or are on file) with alike insurance department.

Policies issued through non-admitted companies are subject to a state tax and stamping allowance, and frequently an inspection/audit fee, as capably.

HOWEVER. Nonadmitted companies have more flexibility, and are more feeling like to be "creative" in their underwrite. They will frequently write higher risk accounts, such as a demolition contractor or organize paint abatement company.

If you're buying insurance, and considering a nonadmitted carrier, be drastically careful to check www.ambest.com for the financial rating - you do NOT want to buy insurance from a company i.e. rated lower than A-, or smaller than a V.

There are some terribly, very flawless non-admitted companies out there - Scottsdale comes instantly to mind. So don't write them off a moment ago because they aren't admitted - you really stipulation to compare costs and coverages as well.
Mbcatz give a good answer, but omitted one intensely important point: non-admitted or "Surplus Lines" carriers are collectively not supported by your state guarantee fund, which pays the obligations of insolvent carrier when they fail. Admitted, Licensed carrier are supported. That's why it's especially important to know the history & financial rating on a non-admitted possessor, where they're headquartered, etc.

I have need of property insurance on a house I will be flipping.?

Question:
Can anyone recommend one?

Answer:
It depends on what your doing to the home. If all you are doing is cosmetic upgrades, a average policy will do. If you are adding square footage to the home, a builders risk may be within order. Keep contained by mind that since the home will not be occupied, you will want a vacant dwelling policy, and those can run a bit sophisticated than a normal homeowners policy. Try contacting who you take your auto through. You may get a price break for have more than one policy with impossible to tell apart carrier.
The flipping is irrelevant. Try State Farm, Farmers, Allstate and Safeco.
I believe within keeping all your insurance together and have one agent, it just make life easier and an agent that know you is
more likely to own your best interest at heart and more willing to progress to bat for you when needed
you might need a builders risk if you are doing leading remodel
and this is not something that most agents want to write, another reason to use one agent!
if u r surrounded by india u have two best option

Well, you can't buy it from them directly, but you can find an agent near you near.

In Michigan is here a requirement that an insurance agency must offer you a copy of an quirk report?

Question:
Within a set period of time? Since they hold a vested interest in you mortal convicted (allows the insurer to more than double the fee you must discharge to a private corp. to drive on public roads) and keeping this information from you would hinder your defense, is at hand any legal requirement that they must supply it to you within a set length of time. I know that this would protect the citizenry from predatory practices by insurance companies but there might accidentally be a imperative that isn't exclusively in their favor, right?

Answer:
No, as a event of fact, the agency does not as a rule SEE a copy of the accident report.

The insurance company have to pay the police department for a copy of the report - and contained by my personal experience, it can take anywhere from five to fifteen business days for the police department to cough it up.

The insurance company does NOT use police reports to surcharge you. They use two things: whether or not YOUR policy have to pay out on a claim, and what the motor vehicle journal says - they do get hold of an annual copy of your driving record. The police report is irrelevant - except conceivably to help determine criticize in an fluke, if you and the other person are giving vastly different stories.
I fyuo are involved in the coincidence they are required by law to giv eyou a co[py. as is the police, sherrifs dept or state police who investigates the happenstance.

Ok, this is unreal. There is another woman next to indistinguishable signature as me and somehow I am human being mistaken for her.?

Question:
Her medical coverage has be paying claims that my providers submitted . My doctors office tell me that it shows I have coverage near this insurace company. I tell them I do not. I hail as the insurance company and tell them and I find out that she is 6 years elder than me and has a different DOB and address. Her social deposit number is different. They are in complete amazement on how this happen. They say they can't get the message how it was processed since our SS numbers are different. I completed up having to send for them 3 times in 8 months. And to top it adjectives off, the representative be very rude and put me on hold and never come back, so I reported her to the supervisor. You would construe they would want to know to prevent paying fraudelent claims. Has anyone had any similar experiences? If this is not resolved this time, I am going to the Commissioner.

Answer:
That's awfully interesting! I never heard anything resembling that, well except for credit card fraud and identity aggravated burglary. But since all the information is different, except for your autograph, this is very uncommon.

That rep will probably be fired since insurance laws required that representatives report adjectives complaints to their supervisor so that someone can better handle your situation and resolve it against the clock.
I have a distant relative next to exactly the same designation ( even the middle name)
she is ex felon and yes I have be mistaken for her
i started making sure that my middle initial is on all my documents/accounts, also if you are have this problem you may want to keep a check on your credit report within case in that are issues there also
Wow! I hold not had this arise but I agree that the company would want to know about this. I hope you get the name of the rude soul who put you on hold and then forgot just about you. The company will definitely want to speak beside her about that. I would report this to the commissioner, similar to you said. Good luck & good for you not taking authority of the situation, a lot of family would have.
Go bear a look at your medical record surrounded by your doctor's office. I wonder if they thought you be the same party and combined your medical files, then her insurance would be billed automatically below your medical records number.

Does anyone know of an insurance company that offer natural life insurance to ex-felons on parol?

Question:
Husband needs life span insurance, having problems finding a company that will insure someone who is still on parol

Answer:
Most natural life insurance applications do ask whether the applicant has be convicted of a felony within olden times 7-10 years. So it'll probably be difficult for your husband to obtain go insurance. However, there is one alternative: a number of insurers issue a type of policy know as a "modified benefit life" policy. There are typically two or possibly three questions on the application related to condition (usually about HIV infection; hospitalization for any use in the ultimate 3 months; etc.). Typically, the felony question isn't on this application.

There is a down side to this type of policy: if your husband dies in the first two years, the only benefit payable is a return of premium (unless he dies from an accident). The other denial factor is that these policies carry a built-in high-ranking rating, in anticipation that sick individuals will purchase this type of policy; so it's not going to be cheap. Also, the facade amount of these policies is not high; usually $10k or smaller quantity.

I recommend you speak with an insurance broker (just look contained by your phone book for a name) and have him or her sit down beside you so you can discuss your needs and limitations. Hopefully, he or she will know how to recommend a plan of action.

I hope this help.
This may be a tough one. Each life insurance company have their own set of underwriting guidelines required for approval within order to submit life insurance coverage.

A creature who has be convicted of a felony may be considered a higher risk for vivacity insurance. However, there may be some insurance companies who consider the specific type of conviction and how long ago it occur.

You can try here http://www.insureme.com/landing.aspx?ref... You fill out a form online to request free, no condition life insurance quotes. That mode you can try through several companies and see where they stand - if they will submit your husband coverage.

I hope this helps you and your husband find some existence insurance. Best of luck to both of you.
Moral turpitude issues, hundreds of companies, never ask. Problem may be Equifax or similar reporting companies have picked him up and hold him in files. Try other companies, possibly even off shore.
I do know that vivacity insurance applications ask if you have ever be convicted of a felony. As an agent, I have gotten a correctly large policy standard for an applicant who did commit a felony, but it was over a decade surrounded by the past. I'm sure that the amount of time that passed - only just like time that pass since a health condition - matter to underwriters. It probably also matters what the crime be - i.e. violent, blue color, etc.

You can find small full life policies which don't ask the cross-examine about felony - these are more life final expense policies, usually sold to seniors. Basically they will filter out empire who are terminally ill, contained by a nursing home, etc., and issue a policy to everybody else.

Will My Life Insurance Pay if I Die While Skydiving or Hang Gliding If I Only Do It One Time?

Question:

Answer:
If the policy is more than two years old, it is incontestable. The company must reward the death claim no issue the circumstances, unless there is an exclusion contained by the policy, which is rare for these endeavours. Normally, participation contained by a hazardous sport is a factor in the policy rating.

If the policy is smaller quantity than two years old, the company would hold to prove fraud; that you intended on participating in the specific hustle and bustle at the time you signed the application.
Your policy may state such restrictions in the fine print. There is no rule or ruling about such things. Check your policy thoroughly or phone your agent first!
Maybe.

Check with your insurer. Your insurance may be negated if you die when performing a hazardous act. If you plan to absorb in "risky" act as a hobby or regularily, you may end up anyone classed as "Uninsurable."

However, if you are going to do it once and only once for the purpose of finding what is so special give or take a few it, you may be able to return with away with it.
There's a honest chance they will foot since this is not a daily movement and only a one time thrill.
You will enjoy to read the policy to find out - or ask the agent. But if you ask the agent, get the answer within writing!

can you claim expenses if you are non licensed home childcare provider?

Question:
If I am claiming income from childcare in home, can I claim expenses such as groceries, arts school curriculum, supplies etc if I am not licensed?

Answer:
It depends on whether you are trying to do this on your federal or state tax returns or both.

Some states own very upright laws that not single allow this but also have laissez-faire policies for non licensure. They do this to attempt to attract more people into the system. In those states, you'll find they will allow you to do this.
If you are claiming income that you should be claiming expenses. I would devise your license has zilch to do with it. A home business is a home business.
It depends on what state you are surrounded by. Some states allow you to provide child care for a couple of non-related children minus being licensed.

Actually, thinking roughly speaking it . .. the licensing is a state entity. You probably can, because the irs doesn't care if you're licensed or not, they a moment ago want you to be declaring your income from the child carefulness, and they'll let you discount the expenses.

What concerned of insurance do I want for a small home base online retail business?

Question:
I have a home base retail business that sells products online. I hang on to inventory in my home. What benign of insurance do I need? Does anyone know what the costing runs just about?

Nicole

Answer:
You're probably not REQUIRED to have any, by anyone. But here are some possibilities: common liabiltiy, in shield you get sued. Property, contained by case of fire or pocketing, that wipes out your inventory. ECommerce, for internet fraud/wire fraud.

Cost is going to come and go wildy from $1500 a year for start up, to tens of thousands, depending on sales, type of materials sold, where on earth you get them from, and where on earth you store them.

You'll have to agree to a local agent to get specific quotes.
You would obligation fire insurance, auto insurance, and maybe product liability insurance. What are you selling? The cost of the insurance is adjectives over the map. Make a few appointments with some agents contained by your area and hold them submit a proposal. Make sure they are quoting similar policies. There are several factors that impact the policy's cost: agency overhead and profit, the carrier's (actual insurance company's) rating and profitability. Another factor is how express you are willing to payment for your annual coverage; if you stretch the payments out over the term or several months, you will reimburse more.

Does Anyone use Farmers Insurance?

Question:
I have have my car liability insurance near Allstate for a while now, but Farmers have given me a much much lower quote. Whats the difference? (besides the $200 over 6 monthes)

Answer:
Companies target different population groups. If the Farmers agent saw the old policy, and is quoting EXACT same coverage, afterwards it's basically lately that you're in a demographic that Farmers is target. That's just the approach it works!

Farmers is a solid company, so don't worry going on for that!
I was not cheery with them. The agent would not draw from back to me, lost information, next sent me a statement stating my account symmetry. One year later, they "found" that I have missed a payment. I wait almost another year for them to tell me that they would not insure my house. Then they raise my rates due to my credit score. (divorce blew it)
Right immediately I use USAA. You have to be military, or marry someone that have it.

I did a web hunt and found the first site posted below.

the second one requires registration, but will pinpoint ratings for you.
i have to disagree...i own written for Farmers with 2 different agencies surrounded by two different states and I do NOT ever want to write for them again. Both agencies pulled out from writing with them. They are nil but problems in that company. As an agent we could never catch answers from them and their claims handeling was awful. if you enjoy more than one auto, they will issue a different policy for each saloon, which makes it even worse to concord with.
my wife worked for farmers and they have very questionable claims handling procedures. also, you enjoy to see how the policies compare to one another. its not just a business of the actual liability limits. they hold out two kinds of policies. one of them is a majority policy and the other is called the mid-century which is cheaper and offer greater restrictions on different things such as who can drive your car and things similar to that.
i wouldnt go for it
They didn't catch to be one of the top 5 insurance companies by providing bad service or handling claims unsuitably. That would put them out of business.
Try them out. If you don't like them you enjoy every right to go to another company.
The difference is the what is and isn't covered between the 2 polices. For example, Allstate pays $300 towards a bail bond but Farmers may simply pay $150 (in the event you're taken to young offenders` institution for a DUI).
Farmers is a good company - but likelihood are you can get a better rate than that online. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to go and get you the best price. I am paying less than 1/2 after I did.

Go to: http://www.insureme.com/landing.aspx?ref...

Take attention,

Where can I catch an online estimate for small business insurance contained by Pennsylvania?

Question:

Answer:
Do not make the devastating error of attempting to insure your business in need professional help. There are too abundant vulnerabilities you don't want to expose yourself to. See a property and casualty agent or agency that specializes in business coverage.
I don't know that you can. I own never heard of an online estimate for a business policy. Also, business insurance is complicated, it is not close to a personal homeowners where most things are included, you enjoy to buy almost every coverage separately and if you do not know what you are doing, you may be left uncovered within the event of a loss. Is it worth your financial loss & maybe the loss of your business to collect a few dollars to buy online without an agent? Independent agents really know what they are doing when it comes to commercial insurance. They know the question to ask and the proper coverage for you to have. Have you tried to appointment a few? If your business is very straightforward, sole proprietorship, you hold no business autos or employees, you own minimal business contents and no building, I have see business insurance for $500 minimum premium (some companies are going to $750 or $1000 minimum). You wouldn't be saving anything online if you topple under the minimum premium. I mull over to do this to give up the support of an agent (they also can comfort you with claims) is fundamentally risky. Our commercial producers have if truth be told gone to the scenes of fires to start the claims process (on weekends, when the fire dept be still there) - would a company online be able to do that?? If you do work for others, they may request certificate of insurance - a local agent could do these right away & you can pick them up - can an online company do that?
You can't.

The reason is, business insurance isn't as cut and dried as personal insurance, in that are too many "what if's". "Small Business" premiums can capacity from $500, for a mom & pop bait shop, to $250,000, for the guy that makes a shim used contained by nuclear power plants, to anywhere in between. "Small" is within the eye of the beholder.

You're going to have to hail as a local, independent agent in your nouns. If you're in the Pittsburgh nouns, I know a great one, just IM me.
You can try the below website

opinion on insurance plans please?

Question:
I would appreciate any opinions on condition insurance. Blue Cross /Blue shield as compared to an HMO plan for example. The positive and negative of respectively. Thanks!

Answer:
My Blue Cross Blue Shield offers PPO plans as all right as HMO's. Hmo's are good for women who want motherliness coverage right away, and for people who want pretty complete coverage next to no deductibles. However, if you have a $500 copay for the hospital and you hold several hospitalizations in a year, you will wage that copay each time.

In the midwest HMO's are an expensive process to go, PPO's make a contribution you flexibility to go where on earth you want, get within network benefits adjectives over the country and hospitalization over seas. But within California HMO's are popular and cheap.

So it depends on what you are looking for and where you live.
I've hear that BCBS is just around the best you can get for the money. An HMO plan is where on earth you have to budge to a specific doctor that has contracted near your carrier. The lone time an HMO plan MIGHT cover you out of state is if you have a catastrophic loss. With PPO plans you can jump in or out of grating... of course out of meet people gives you smaller quantity benefits. If you have any more q's please email me... also pop in my companies website www.eatonassociates.com
While BC/BS is a household name, I don't if anybody could right to be heard one insurance company is the best. Even within BC/BS their are different policy option, not just one.

Really, you are comparing a PPO, POINT OF SERVICE, and HMO. A PPO have a preferred provider network. You are guaranteed discounts, and usually better coverage if you stay contained by the network, but still enjoy insurance coverage if you don't.

An HMO is more like a closed net. You can usually only aim service outside the HMO with go-ahead from the company in an unusual situatio. However HMO plans usually cover more for the money because they are more closely managing your strictness.

A point of service plan doesn't have a introduce yourself at all. You usually take-home pay the most for this type of plan, but you have total freedom.

So PPO plans (and BC/BC have PPO PLANS and other types of plans, but so do Assurant, United Health Careand so on.), give you the most choice.

I would suggest thinking in the order of what you can afford to pay for monthly premiums, how much you can afford to rate in a deductible surrounded by case of an emergency, and what coverage is really historic to you. Then you can find the best plan for you.
Um, BC/BS HAS an HMO plan, along with a PPO plan, they aren't necessarily two different things!
