Insurance Questions and Answers

Insurance didn’t retribution for my nativity, why??

Question:
I had my babe Jan 3, 2.5 weeks early. I looked on the insurance website merely a minute ago and they have denied everything that have to do with my hospital stay. Why and how can they do that. I am freaking out because my bill is close to 11000 dollars. She be breeched and I do not tried to have her turned. I have a c-section. I can not believe that they can do this. I usually get a provider discount from the hospital and I get no discount either.

Answer:
You obligation to call the insurance company and ask them why not. Some reason could be: your insurance policy was cancelled, or I don`t know the hospital wasn't on the approved hospital list, or conceivably someone at the billing office enter it wrong, or maybe someone at the insurance company be looking at the wrong paper.

Call the accomplice services number on the back of your insurance card, and ask them for an explanation.
You have need of to call them .
It should own stated why your claim is being rejected or pended. Look on the website again and draw from more information.
You need to call upon your health insurance. I have a baby and have part of the claim denied because the provider did not submit correctly. Once they resubmitted insurance company approved and rewarded for it. I would not freak out yet, it is too hasty.
Was maternity coverage on your policy. Some policies do not cover parenthood.
You will soon get surrounded by the mail a document call an "Explanation of Benefits" which will lay out what was compensated, what wasn't paid and, most inportantly, why.

You will call for that information to launch a formal appeal. Each state has a different set of rules on how insurers own to treat an appeal. You should learn your state's rules and initiate the appeal process.

There is very little destiny that your insurer planned to cover you and then didn't because of some manner of complications of birth. Either they were going to cover you no concern what.or they didn't plan to cover you to begin near. You need to find out what the officeholder reason for the denial is and clash it.

meantime, call the hospital straight away and tell them you are working on an appeal of the insurer's decisionthat will buy you time to stave stale a collection notice.
If the claim have been "finalized" - carry the explanation of benefits (EOB) from the insurance that states EXACTLY why it was denied. Most denials are for something stupid, and you can be at odds it. DO NOT GIVE UP! The insurance isn't going to make it unproblematic for you, they count on you getting annoyed with them. If it hasn't be finalized, wait until it is. Sometimes they show as denied, in anticipation of more information from the provider, but ultimately get compensated.

If it was denied for something approaching no-authorization, enlist the help of your OB-GYN's bureau. They can help you appeal it. If be denied for "Coordination of Benefits" - contact your insurance company right away and ask what they need to prove you own no other insurance.

Just be dilligent about following thru on the appeal, don't permit it slide by.

Questions nearly mortal an insurance agent!?

Question:
I'm interviewing for a position as an agent, after turning down opportunities at lots brokerages and firms, but this one gives lead, offers income or commission, and the management give me a good idea about their business, plus they flog for one of the worlds largest companies, and that company has even written articles in the region of them, and they have copious accolades and awards. My issue is I'm a student, who is bored next to school, requirements a full-time career orient job I can grow next to even after graduation, and want to finish school in the next two years, do you ruminate it is possible to do both, I know they both have demanding hours!

Answer:
I would look at some of the threads started by newbies surrounded by the agent forum at www.insurance-forums.net/forum They have relations there who enjoy tried just in the order of every company, so you can search for info on this exact opportunity. At the stop of the day, this sounds similar to it might be a good setup, but in that are many similar organization that are unhelpful, and it is mostly a disguise.
Yes, you can do both. Your demanding hours will subside a bit after about six months . . . but you can DEFINATLY do both.
Get the point. You can learn the insurance business while you are still surrounded by school - realistically, it take 6-12 months to learn it really in good health and apply that knowledge to consistently making sale. The degree will allow you more flexibility if things don't work out.

You beyond doubt need to be on commission if you are selling any insurance related product. You can brand money if you are successful, depending on how much the company is charging you for the leads. Salary sale positions are for weak sale people.

Since the company providing "free" lead (they'll charge you for them, but indirectly, as they'll take a piece of the commission) to inexperienced sale people, that manner there is a apposite chance the lead they provide are mostly junk. Getting right insurance related leads is extremely expensive, and if a company is going to spend the money it costs to develop apposite leads, they are going to try to find sale people beside significant sales experience.

To supply you an idea of the cost, a pious lead (where the prospect is qualified and is truthfully interested in the products offered) across the world costs around $1,000-1,500 to develop, and a good sale person can close roughly 30% of them. The commissions are lofty on insurance products because the acquisition costs are so lofty. If someone in the company is describing you people close anything difficult than 30% of the leads they are lying. Junk lead that they'd be willing to provide out to someone with no experience will own a close rate around 4-6%. The position you are looking at has a big failure/turnover rate, I can tell you that already only just from the way you described it.

Good luck
Absolutely finish your scope! Although you may be bored with institution at this point, a degree will payment dividends for you and will open doors that can't be open by people who do not enjoy one.

As far as the agent position, from what you have described and what I'm reading between the lines, it does not nouns like the greatest of opportunity. If you're looking to make money selling insurance, find an first performance with a commercial agency or brokerage, reimburse your dues, learn the business, and you'll be a much happier and prosperous entity.

What is the difference between ACV and replacement cost besides the price?

Question:

Answer:
Actual Cash Value, is replacement cost minus standard depreciation for age.

So, take a tube. Assuming a television averages 6 years of time, you have a box stolen from your house. It cost you $500 brand new. Replacement cost for it today, let's assume is $500. But, 5/6 of it's existence has be used up. If you have ACV, you bring whatever go is left, or 1/6 of the cost to replace, which is $83.

If you own a large loss, depreciation can drink away the claim payment pretty at full tilt. Different items depreciate at different rates - computers & other electronics in roughly speaking 3 years, clothing in nearly 4, large appliances surrounded by 10, etc. It's not YOUR opinion almost how much life is moved out, but a straight chart that the insurance adjuster has.

I ALWAYS ALWAYS recommend replacement cost on both contents and dwelling.
In the motor business, a lot. ACV is actual lolly value and usually represents what a supplier will pay you for it outright. Replacement convenience is what you have to foot to get an temperate replacement. The difference can be thousands of dollars.
ACV, as previously stated, is the actual cash helpfulness. (I'll use cars as an example.) It's an average of vehicles similiar to yours within terms of year/make/model/mileage/vehicl... options/condition. The data are found by doing a search of your vehicle surrounded by your market nouns, from dealerships, classified ads.

Replacement cost is what it if truth be told costs to replace your vehicle.
You should RARELY ever consider an actual cash significance policy unless you really can't afford the insurance.

If you have a huge lossthe depreciation on the items you own will be so great, you won't have ample money to replace them.

Replacement value insurance make certain you attain enough proceeds to buy what you lost.

What insurance company offer the best robustness insurance?

Question:
I do not have strength insurance. I will need to procure it on my own. I have a Rx that desires filled every month. I don't smoke, Im 27 M and am within good shape. I would approaching to stay around/below $100 per month and I want the lowest deductible possible.

Edited to add:
Since the poster below is confused I stipulation to add: This is a discount plan. No claim forms are EVER file to the company itself so the statement that it rarely pays out make no sense. As long as you see an approved provider (this is why I stated to make sure to check for availability) ANYTHING that your dentist/doctor does would receive a discount. The discounts list from 20-80% depending on what you are having done.
This is an alternative to insurance. If you are competent to get a perfect plan that suits your needs through traditional insurance after I would recommend that; however, over 70% of American's are not in that boat and this is the solution.
Let me know if you enjoy any questions roughly speaking the program!
Thanks Sheree, but he said insurance, not some discount program that rarely pays the discounts it advertise. (see link)

Byron, You're asking for an awful lot - low deductible and low price. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it will be difficult, especially since it appears that you enjoy a pre-existing condition. I don't know what it is, and I don't suggest you tell us here. Individual policies are roughly medically underwritten and you may have a thorny time finding coverage.

That being said, I suggest that you find a local, independent insurance agent who can relieve you find coverage and explain the coverage. They will help you find the coverage that best fits your wishes. Don't fall for the discount programs, they are constantly person investigated and don't fair okay.
Maybe you can try below website to get the information. It's something like tips on finding a good vigour insurance provider articles for your second opinion
I get a good one

When they influence bring rewarded up to $3500 for a form study how much do you really return with rewarded?

Question:

Answer:
If you don't drop out, and follow all the directions - $3500. Payments start small, and increase as you stir, because a lot of populace won't follow directions, or stop participating.
What you should really be worried about is what style of chemicals they are going to inject you with.
you seize all of it if you die partly of it if you don't.

jk

It depends on which group you are in, risk, & compatiblity factor & whether or not you complete the term of the study. Some studys cart years. If it is a 2 year study & you don't complete the 2 year criteria for what ever reason you may go and get less or even no compensation. Read the contract & adjectives documents that you are signing carefully. If you miss one call on you don't want to be missing out on big bucks. Many places pay after the study is completed so if it is a year study & you necessitate the money now... resourcefully it might not work out. Some have you sign that if you hold serious complications that they are not liable... Make sure that your insurance will cover any adverse effects of the study should it prove harmful. The ultimate thing you requirement to here is your insurance will not cover since you signed a paper releasing the company that you are doing the study for & its affilliates from liabilty & your insurance company is one of those affilliates...

Hope this help,

Is it practicable to find 100 family to put $100 a month within a reserves sketch to settle up for medical expenses?

Question:
Its just an belief I had, wondered if it would work, if its permitted, etc. My family have no health insurance, and I am sure that nearby are many other family out there within the same boat. We hold no major medical issues, simply checkups, physicals, dentist visits, etc. And I would close to to have something to spatter back on basically in travel case of an accident or catastrophic bug. I know there would be obstacle, who would run it, how to pay the bills, who to consent to in, how to find replacements, but if it worked.

Answer:
Terrible model. That money would be gone in smaller amount than a week. There are no controls, and you'd be paying for someone else's kids braces or some middle aged woman's boob job. Or you could achieve lawyers, they are infamous for keeping down the cost of health perfectionism.
forget that. Just move to Canada and get it for free.
That's in truth not a bad belief. In fact it's call an HMO. Many payers in and hopefully a reduced amount of takers out. However with today's medical costs you probably want at least 3,000 in-payers for every out-taker thus the ratio. HMO's hold 100's of thousands of clients to provide the economy of mount you describe. Look into the cost of cancer treatment for 1 individual and you'll see the dilemma. Good luck to you in your quest. Health assistance is quite a problematic arena for most of us usual folks.
sure, you can do it, it's a risk sharing thing . . the biggest problem is, how do you put together sure all the family are reasonably sound? And the second biggest thing is, what if one party has a catastrophic issue, resembling a preemie baby? That can chomp through up $40,000 a day within extreme care . ..

Your biggest risk is running out of money - so the first human being who puts in the big claim get paid, and everyone else is SOL.
It won't work, plain and simple.
Insurance companies hire actuaries, investment manager, underwriters, claimspeople, accountants, lawyers, programmers, etc. to get sure such schemes work.
Sounds resembling you want to start your own insurance company and invite a few healthy inhabitants to join. I reflect the insurance regulators in your state would frown on this. They are responsible that insurance companies enjoy the resources to pay claims, and I don't reflect on you would pass their tryout. Do you really think that $10,000 per month is enoughto insure 100 family?

What would happen if, on the opening to a meeting of your insurance company, at hand was a vehicle accident, involving 3 family. You've been collecting money for roughly 6 months, but you've paid out more or less $5000 in claims, so you own a balance of $55000 plus rather interest. Do you think you can pay packet for the claims of the 3 families involved contained by the accident?

Who decide what benefits to pay for. You mentioned physicals, dental visit, etc. Will you offer free preventive supervision? Will you offer fantasy care? How almost Orthodontia? How do you know what the cost of these things are? How can you know how much you'll be paying out for each clan?

That's why insurance companies exist, because they know what these things cost because they have networks. They own claims experience that Actuaries go through to determine what the average relations of 4 will cost for a year.

Just because you don't have insurance immediately, doesn't mean that you can't grasp it. Talk to a local agent about a Health Savings Account plan. You can purchase it for smaller quantity than the traditional HMO plan, plus it will give you an opportunity to put money away on a tax-advantaged justification to deal beside medical bills as they arise.

How can Insurance company make profits by hedging against a risk lately for relatively small allowance?

Question:

Answer:
Insurance companies do not always variety profits. In fact, insurers lost over $40 billion after Katrina. Many insurers go out of business or stopped their earthquake coverage after the 1991 Northridge earthquake.

Over the long term, the total premiums and fees that insurers collect usually exceeds their payouts. They hire mathemeticians to statistically analyze the probabilities of accident occurring and then set their premiums to a smooth that covers the expected losses that they cover.

Where insurers really make their money is not on their premiums. They are excluded to spend most of this money. Instead, they must keep it within reserve to cover possible payouts.

Insurers earn their money on the interest from their cash reserves. For example, if an insurer collects $150 million contained by premiums during a year and pays out $100 million to cover insured losses and operating costs. The insurer will have $50 million moved out over, most of which must be kept in a currency reserve. Assuming the insurance company can earn 10% interest from investing this cash, it would earn a $5 million profit.

Over time, the lolly reserves of insurance companies grows. Eventually, very generous insurance companies can have copious billions of dollars in reserve. They spread their risk across masses customers and earn lots of money from investing their enormous reserves.
With millions of those small fees vs. the payouts. The difference is the profit. When their expenses (read payouts) shift up, so does everybodies rates.
They have thousands and thousands of nation giving them hundreds to thousands of dollars every month.
By putting limits on coverage. They also bring judgment against liable parties involved.
Well they play the numbers...

Say you insure something like 100,000 people. Each one pays you 300 dollars a month.

30,000,000 a month is what you construct.

If out of that 100,000 100 have an fluke that costs Oh...10,000 dollars...

30,000,000
- 1,000,000
you still make a profit of 29 MILLION DOLLARS.
Hi!

I surface forums are the best places to get your query resolved. Don't you think so!
Otherwise, within today's world its too tough to get exemplary accepted wisdom honestly ...
It's called "The directive of large numbers". Basically it say, the more members you enjoy in a demanding group, the more accurately you can predict the future losses of that group. So you divide up adjectives your future losses among the group, incorporate in overhead, subtract investment income, divide by the numbers contained by the group . . . VOILA! profit.
People failed to mention how heaps people dissolve policies such as whole existence or term after a few years, the companies 99% of time, maintain the unused premiums, do the math. Whenever a claim is paid, there's thousands of population paying premiums who aren't dying or making a claim. It is simply a numbers game. Hope this help

Where can I move about for cheap saloon insurance for a childish masculine driver?

Question:
My 17 year old is taking programme but we've discovered that the cost of adding him to our sports car insurance is prohibitive. I'd really like him to know how to drive our car as my husband is disabled and I also look after my 80 year dated mother so having somebody else contained by the family near a licence will be a real boon, but the current quotes for adding together him to my insurance seem to be pushing the cost up from lb260 per year to lb250 per month!

Answer:
Go to swiftcover.com it's the cheapest place by far that I found.
Quinn direct tend to be cheap for youthful drivers. Passplus should knock 25% off. check www.ukdrive.co.uk
I found tesco vehicle insurance quite all right, also try sainsburys, esure, elephant they all come across ok
Try esurance.com or geico.
try another country lol what kinda car is it a bmw m3
I other use A Quote insurance and have found them cheap. It seem so unfair that a a moment ago qualified driver should be penalised. There are several things you can do.
Buy a car contained by a smaller insurance bracket. Put your son through the Advanced Driving Test, this will reduce your premiums. Restrict the number of miles you do and avoid driving at darkness, probably not very practical near an elderly mother.
lb260 a year on your insurance is not too steep and after the first year it should reduce.
i have the same problem when i first started driving

i go with a company call hyperformance who specialise in cheaper sports car insurance for young drivers
Make a buy and sell with him... speak about him he can use the car if he pays for his own insurance... We did that next to our 17 year old son, so he be forced to go out and grasp an after school employment... he now pays us for his insurance... he have his own car... the impression of a job terrified him at first... but he has in a minute learned responsibility... something every kid his age requests to succeed in life span !
DO NOT ASK FOR A QUOTE TO ADD THE KID TO YOUR POLICY! IF THE COMPANY FINDS OUT THERE IS A KID, THEY WILL JACK YOUR RATES EVEN IF HES NOT ON THE POLICY... They call it "automatic kinfolk protection contract" or something like that... translation one if theres a kid in the house and they return with hint of it, they're gonna rape you.

I did a "what if" quote to make the addition of a kid onto my policy and they automatically added him to it under a family unit protection thing. So Im moved out to go find a different company and hang on to my mouth shut. STAY AWAY FROM GEICO... THEY ARE THE ONES WHO RAPED ME of my $. PROGRESSIVE RAPES EVERYONE TOO!
some are cheap

5 vehicle calamity... uninsured motorist...?

Question:
My friend and I were contained by the fastlane on the freeway probably going 55 mph. the traffic slowed down to 10-20 mph very all of a sudden and a collision with the vehicle in front of us almost occur. Traffic started moving forward again, then she (my friend) begin to move forward and we looked at each other next to the thought of "WOW, that WAS close" (It was for a split second) Then when we looked subsidise to the road, the car within front of us was very soon completley stopped and sure enough we hit them. We do not know what happen. We don't know if a collision had already occured and we drove into it.We also don't know if she hit the saloon and then cause that car to hit the coupé in front of it and so on until 5 cars become involved. We were contained by a newer Ford truck (full size)I've been told by a reliable source that a vehicle would hold a hard time cause that large of a secure reaction going roughly 30-35 mph...Fortunatley, almost everybody involved seem OK, and no airbags deployed... This is where I inevitability your advice, My friend did not hold her policy renewed since 4-5 months ago. The police officer took her old policy number anyways and consent to us go. She doesn't know what to do and I don't know what to convey her. She doesn't care in the order of the truck but is scared beyond belief almost all the other cars and drivers. Her truck be still able to opperate.I want sound suggestion to help stillness her down, She thinks her time is over... Please, honesty is good but don't try and terrify us more unless you know it's the absolute truth. Yes she know her policy was probably expired but she didn't know it happen 4-5 months ago. I know this girl, she is a good human being, The only cause she didn't have insurance is because she have no money, She doesn't drink or smoke and is still barely scrape by paycheck to paycheck, All her money is going to her lawyer expenses from a discouraging divorce, and all the bills associated beside it. This just happen today Does somebody out there know what she might be facing?

Answer:
OMG that is to say awful! I can relate to being too poor to hold up, at 22 I was a single mom for 17 years no child support & no serve. I kept putting expenses onto credit cards & I'm just immediately (at age 47) making a dent into the debt.

I have a lawyer website I found last month when I needed an answer from a REAL attorney (for free). Go to www.lawguru.com & post a examine. You get up to 4 responses from attorneys contained by your area by email. 1 free quiz every 15 days, so make it count.

You might also want to post this same cross-examine in the yahoo category of canon & ethics or canon enforcement to see if an officers can lend a hand guide you in the process. Their point of spectacle would be priceless to the situation.

Wish you well.
It vary by state. If you live in Kentucky, according to this article I found on Yahoo Search, your friend may be facing 90 days contained by jail and a $1000 fine if this is her first offense:

"David Harrington, Calloway County attorney, said saloon insurance has be mandated for Kentucky residents since the 1970s and damp squib to insure your car could front to criminal penalties.

"It seem as though (the problem) keeps growing and growing," said Harrington.

Harrington said he deal with an average of eight to 10 insurance-related cases a week.

He said one of the reason the problem is growing is that individuals come from other states or countries and may not know the state's requirements

Harrington said the penalty for a first insurance offense is between $500 and $1,000, 90 days contained by jail or both.

A second offense inside five years, Harrington said, could result in up to 180 days within jail, $2,500 contained by fines or both.

Harrington said his recommendation to the deem in such cases usually includes a $500 fine, near $400 suspended, and 10 days in secure unit, which he recommends to be suspended as in good health."

OK, here's the dipper. There are five cars, which position was she within? WORST Case scenario - in some states, the end car surrounded by is responsible for ALL the damage. IF she's the concluding car within, all her assets can be attached, she'll enjoy a nasty judgement against her, and her wages can be garnish. IF your state follows the "last sports car in" rule. We don't know what state you're in.

Otherwise, they're going to ask the cars surrounded by front of her how many bumps they feel. You can count how many bumps, to integer out how many cars hit. If the first sports car feels four bumps, the guy trailing him pays half, the guy at the rear HIM pays half, etc.

The fruitless news is, surrounded by most states, uninsured motorist is for bodily injury NOT damage to your saloon. So unless your state has uninsured physical devastate, AND the people bought it, they're going to be coming after her (legally, don't worry) for their damages.

Obviously, her damages are going to be salaried out of her pocket. But really, there isn't adequate information to tell what she might be facing . . . but at the tiniest, driving without insurance AND cause an accident, is going to lift up any potential rates. This will be VERY damaging to her financial robustness, and she could have license issues.
I abhorrence to be the bearer of bad communication but she has liability contained by this loss. My knowledge comes from working claims within Kansas and it is likely that your state law are different. It appears from what I can read that she is at the very smallest responsible for the rear lapse damage of the motor in front of her and most probable a % of the other cars damage. As a claims adjustor I would articulate going 30-35 MPH it is likely that nearby were multiple impact on the cars in front and she carry some fault. What happen most of the time is that people will step to their own insurance to take trouble of the damage. The insurance companies will afterwards go after your friends insurance or her if she have none. They will turn her into a collection agency and pursue her in court. The biggest disadvantage to not have insurance is that no one will be working on her behalf to support her interests. She is going to catch hosed. I hope no one decide to show up with a whiplash injury. Hopefully it will in recent times be the property damage she will own to reimburse.

Legally there is a casual that she will be turned into the state and prosecuted for no insurance but that rarely happen.

With regards to her truck, if she owes money on it and is uninsured afterwards she is in defiance of her loan (she is required to keep full coverage) and they could repossess her vehicle if they found out or they could insure it themselves and charge an outrageous levy.

Some unsolicited advice… If she is so poor that she cannot afford insurance than she should not be driving a new Ford full size truck! Why doesn't she get rid of the new full size pickup and carry a $7,000 Suzuki. The $20,000 difference in price on the vehicle would allow her to obtain insurance. I am sorry I know specifically none of my business I just seize angry when people suppose insurance is a bill they can pass on paying. It is other the uninsured person that is to say at fault within the loss and the innocent person that ends up paying.
If your friend be the last vehicle she can be found liable for all damages and worst crust scenario just resembling mbrcatz stated she can be looking at a judgement filed against her contained by which all her assets can be exposed, wages garnish and even driver license suspended until the judgement or judgements are satisfied. It also depends on your state regulation to some extent. Your friends best option would be to contact the allowed aid office within your area and draw from some professional advice and she may possibly consider collapse to handle her total financial situation which will include this unwelcome occurrence.Good Luck !

Health Insurance?!?!?

Question:
I am having to find my own health insurance for the first time. Can someone back me figure adjectives of this out? What should I be looking for? I am young and in shape, so I would not like to compensate that much, but I would like to surface confidant in my coverage. Also, I will call for dental coverage-any info there??
Thanks so much!

Answer:
The dental coverage you can buy out within on a private policy will USUALLY end up costing you more than it will salary out in benefits. When you acquire your quotes, add up fussily the monthly premiums, and deduct what they cover - save in mind in that are hefty copays and deductibles. You'll usually see that it's cheaper to pay out of pocket for dental.

For insurance, stir to your local, independent agent - he'll have a pretty pious idea who have the best affordable plan in your nouns, and can also market out a central medical policy if that's more to your taste, AND he can explain the differences within coverage.
Hi Rita:
Depends on where you are. If you are within California, you likely qualify for excellent, inexpensive insurance from Kaiser. If your income is too lofty for that, I would recommend Blue Shield, for Major Medical. Aflac can be used to subsidize it and receive dental and optical. Good Luck.
are you employed? if you are young and respectable, i'd probably sign up for a high deductible plan and a Health Savings vindication. Its money that can travel with you from employer to employer and covers any out of pocked medical expense. A LOT more companies are going that route and u'd be ahead of hte team game. Plus why pay for great insurance if you never use it,
1st suggestion: go and get health insurance through an employer;

2nd suggestion: if no employer, marry a group or organization which offer group health insurance (example: AAA, numerous professional or even charitable organizations);

3rd suggestion: if you do not come together any group and try to get the insurance on your own, you will retribution higher premiums for lower benefits. Ask the company which insures your vehicle or your home about "umbrella coverage".

Finally: Take a open breath and get all set to be frustrated. Health insurance companies are notorius for not processing claims correctly and dragging their feet to pay packet claims. Welcome to the club.

Good luck!
