How much money out of pocket to deliver?

Question:
I'm 7 months pregnant with my first child. I'm wondering how much money I requirement to have set aside contained by order to make a contribution birth at my hospital. My insurance has a $500 inpatient copay and a $500 deductible. Does this stingy I will owe $0 upfront, $500 upfront, or $1000 upfront? Can I opt to just hold them bill me? I'm just afraid that I'll show up contained by labor and they'll want a check for an amount that I don't have, I really don't want to be turned away and sent to county hospital while I'm labor.

Answer:
Usually, they'll bill you after the certainty.

The hospital will bill you for the $1,000 including your copay, and deductible.

If you're in involved labor, they can't send you away. It's the tenet.
That means, don't step to the hospital too early, LOL.
Your out-of-pocket will be $1,000.00. Call the hospital and see what they require. Many hospitals in a minute take credit cards so that may be an alternative if you don't have the currency now. Maybe they would tolerate you prepay some of the expected balance. Most are inclined to work with you.
If you enjoy insurance, they won't turn you away. They will just bill you.

And remember, you'll be paying the hospital, the OB and the anesthesiologist (if applicable) adjectives separately.

Also, usually hospitals have preadmittance forms that you can permeate out and turn in ahead of time. Ask your OB, they should consent to you know. And lastly, make sure you procure precertified if you need to be.

Help! vigour insurance going up 38.00 a week!?

Question:
we just can't afford that! is nearby a site where I can shop around?

Answer:
you shou;d turn to an insurance broker instead. Bcoz they have a better concord with insurance companies instead going directly to insurance companies. And if ever you enjoy any claim, insurance brokers will assist you. Try www.marsh.com
Just reimburse it. Health insurance is a neccessity. It seems similar to a lot but you'll breed it. Contact your state about alternative plans. Ask professionals. Contact some clinics and form care providers. There may be a opening to get it cheaper. If here isn't, don't do without. If that's what it costs, that's what it costs.
Try a different employer
Health insurance is a necessity, however, perchance not at the levels you are spending. What is really called for is a plan to "stop the bleeding" If you have medical bills of $5,000 or even $10,000, most ancestors can eventually dig themselves out of that hole. But $50,000 or $100,000 usually cause bankruptcy and the 7 years of affliction after that. You might look at a higher deductible strength plan. John Alden / Assurant has some of the best I enjoy seen (My personal insurance is through John Alden). I would capture with an agent. Most of them can write through several companies and know who currently have the best rates in your nouns.
There are many sites out at hand to shop for health insurance, here are three:
http://www.insurespeed.com - compare local agents and national companies
http://www.ehealthinsurance.com... - shop multiple companies and buy online (just go public under the symbol EHTH)
http://www.insureme.com - compare local agents and national companies
http://www.netquote.com - Local agents
in attendance is cheaper
It sounds as though you have a plan through your employer, and this amount will be deduct per pay term. Be cautious when shopping around for a "Cheap" plan, remember your company plan is individual offered rates and plans based on location, how frequent people are surrounded by the group and how healthy your group is aka. medical usage and claims base on previous year. Shop for a "Apples to Apples" type of plan.

I want a attorney for handling a suit against Travelers Insurance. Anyone know who to hail as?

Question:
Atlanta, GA

Answer:
Just about anyone will - if you remuneration them the retainer. You're not likely to attain someone to do it on contingency, unless you have a strong defence.

Therefore . . . if you can't find anyone in the phone book to do this on contingency, you don't own much of a case, so you'll own to pay out of pocket, up front. Expect to wage about $200 an hour. Probably $10,000 retainer, up front.

About the single thing you can sue an insurance company for is "biddable faith" failure to pay packet out on your own policy. So good luck on that.
www.handelonthelaw.com Bill Handel is an attorney who have a Sunday afternoon radio talk show, covering official issues.
try the yellow page under advocate
I have attached a site that you should know how to pull a nice amount of lawyer that handle insurance statute.

Suing home owners Insurance?

Question:
a man ranout in the highway and crashed into my Husband while he be riding his bike...the old man be cited for jaywalking on a highway, can my husband sue his home insurance for the damages and way to carry around. Any one familier with this?
Thank you,

Answer:
This answer have two parts.

First the easy one.YES...you can sue the pedestrian for the damages incurred.

Now...the trickier onewhich type of policy you will be suing against.

This depends on exactly how the 'motorbike' may have be insured. If it was a substantial enough vehicle to hold its own 'motorbike' insurance, you could go after that policy if one exists.

If not, you can ceratinly use the walker's homeowner's insurer, if he have one.

But, even if he doesn't have insurance, you can still sue him, but even if he be 'jaywalking' on the highway doesn't mean you are going to win a lawsuit.

You could still effortlessly lose the case, if the ambler can prove that you should have be able to stop but didn't.
yes he can , he requirements a personal injury attny. they can do that...
no - not at the house
You would have to sue him. But pretty possibly this would be covered by the mans auto insurance to some extent than Homeowners. I would check to see if he has auto insurance first and try to be compensated through that first.
As it be not done at the house I don't think so . He could sue the man for repairs to the bike. As for him not human being able to travel to work because the bike is his only method of transportation. I do not guess you will win an award for lost time as there is public transportation, friends and house. I have not be able to drive due to medical reason as of 1995 and I still get around on the buss, When I lived contained by New Orleans I road 2 buses and a street car and made it to work by 5:45am and have a child to drop off first.
am i version this right? your husband was riding his bike and a pedestrian get in front of him and your husband wrecked? immediately he wants to sure him ? THATS exactly why race pay so much for insurance!!
peculiar situation
Tell your husband to watchout for pedestrians next time. They enjoy the right of way. And suing the poor outmoded man??when it was your husband's reproach? Oh, wee, hee, boo, hoo. Having to go around suing ancestors for all they've get. Nice career.
**Since your husband be on a motorcycle I still think it go under homeowners. Typically HO policies exlcude motorized vehicle but I think i.e. if the insured was on one. Since the claimant be a pedestrian I think his HO insurance would cover. File a claim, it can't hurt. My info is base on US claims. I don't think you are. Your country may be different**

Yes. Homeowners covers liability of an insured (that is if the man owned a home). It most conspicuously would not go lower than auto as claimant car be not involved in this loss. The reality that the loss did not have to do beside a home also has nought to do with it.

You can superior a lawyer and foot them 35% of your settlement or you can try to go alone on it first and database a claim with the man insurance.

People seem to chew over your husband is at fault because he hit a pedestrian but from what I am reading your husband be on the highway. NOT a normal place for a jaywalker.

Be assiduous though on this. If you decide to sue, the hoary man could return the favor. Since your husband was on a non-motorized 2 controls bike it would go put a bet on to your homeowners.

Most states practice comparative negligence. What that means is that when here is a loss it is possible that both parties enjoy some % of responsibility. That means it is possible that the feeble man may have a valid claim even if it is for 5% of his damages. Again this vary by state.

You will not be able to recuperate for lost work due to no mode of transportation. You would be able to rest for medical bills, lost wages due to injury, pain and suffering, and bike.
Go beside mama... answer. Home owners covers this sort of thing.

Can you capture flood insurance surrounded by Boston, Massachusetts?

Question:

Answer:
Absolutely, the agent who writes your homeowners insurance can ALSO sell you flood insurance. It's a federal program, so in attendance isn't any competition for rates - they're all set by FEMA.
Yes. Boston participate in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) specifically administered by FEMA. You can buy a NFIP policy through several insurers and they are all duplicate. Contact your agent and ask.

Some insurers are offering their own flood coverage that is better than the NFIP selection also. Chubb, Fireman's Fund and AIG all tender this option I believe. If you are insured near one of them speak with your agent just about this option as ably. Fireman's flood is the most reasonably priced if you are surrounded by a preferred flood zone (B, C or X). Your agent can figure that out for you as economically.
check hre. http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-1748196-103...
Yes you can get flood insurance. The rates are like peas in a pod no matter which company you walk thru. Flood insurance is a government program handle by FEMA. Call your own agent for a quote. If they don't handle flood insurance christen any other agency.
You Bet! Call a local Independent agent...OR the agent who handles your Homeowners or business.

The determination of eligibility is from FEMA. who oversees the National flood Ins Program. Some areas of the country do not qualify. It must be within a flood zone.

Boston is.

WHAT IS THE BEST PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN IN detroit ,MICHIGAN ?

Question:
i am 37 my wife is 24 and we are newly married. non smoker we are planning a family connections and looking for a good insurance plan. deductible 2500 and co foot nil. any suggestions or pitfalls to avoid ? cheers

Answer:
there is no such point...you have to find the right plan for you. everyone's different right?

I would suggest steering clear of adjectives life plans (or global plans). Insurance companies love changing the name of these plans and selling them since the default rate is extemely large. That means you may take-home pay your premiums on time year after year, but you miss a contribution or decide you don't want the plan anymore--bingo the ins co. loves this as they attain to keep your premiums and owe you nil.

Since it sounds like you and your wife are surrounded by good condition, make sure you achieve a plan that requires a medical exam- this is in your favor, never gain a plan that doesn't require an exam unless your on your deathbed.

Only buy as much term insurance as your own flesh and blood would need if you did diesure 2 million to your ancestral sounds nice if you should die, but do you actually entail that much? Can you meet the payments short a chance of defaulting?? they will try to play on your emotion and sell you as much as possible, merely be careful and prefer for yourself what you and your family desires.

Whatever you do, don't let them deal in you an insurance policy on your kids lives? this is the oldest trick in the book, they grant you some great policy for you and your wife only if you insure your kids as capably...forget it, they are just betting on you to evasion.

Your family will be fine beside alot less than you probably consider, and what the ins. co will tell you what you necessitate. save some of the money you would otherwise spend on a larger insurance policy and invest it yourself, anything is dutiful, take your kids on break. Just don't let your emotion make the finding when it comes to insurance.

i would suggest a 20, or maybe 25 year residence policy for yourself for maybe 500K to 2 million depending on your lifestyle. I know you would probably be emotionally devastated if something should crop up to your wife, but will you be financially ruined? probably not, but they will try to sell insurance on your wife. possibly you do need it if she brings surrounded by alot of the family income, but most possible not. you may also want to consider a joint insurance policy for the both of you, articulate 2 million to your kids if you both die, or a lesser amount surrounded by case of simply of you expires.

Good luck, shop around, anb don't make any hasty decision on emotions, use your noggin!
you should win info first

The UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli plans to introduce health insurance for adjectives registered families. I would close to to know the status of other states

What is involved surrounded by becoming an insurance adjuster, I work for Aflac and am considering adjust?

Question:

Answer:
adjusting claims can be a incredibly rewarding career but it can also be deeply stressful. Much will depend on what kind of adjust you want to get into. Handling automobile and homeowners claims is the most popular avenue because it allows more job options over the long yank. You can either work for a insurance company or for an independent adjust company. I have worked for both and at hand normally is smaller number politics and BS working for an independent adjusting company.

Some insurance companies similar to hiring people who hold no experience so they can train you the way they want to. Others approaching to hire people who hold experience. Many vocational schools proposition Insurance adjusting classes which is fundamentally good because some states require that adjusters be licensed. Taking the classes make passing the try-out much easier.

A starting salary can be anywhere from Mid 20's to low 30's.

Good Luck

Why Should Health Coverage be free?

Question:
How could this be possible or be workout out in the policy?

Answer:
You don't seriously want the government to control your form care decision do you?

This is the same policy that can't get it right to numeral out a way to catch ourselves back on the right track surrounded by Iraq.

This is the same policy that ignored the restraining signs that led to 9-11.

And, this is impossible to tell apart government that couldn't even carry even the most basic minister to when the residents affected by Hurricane Katrina needed it the most.

Most big affairs of state programs are crushed by their own bureaucracy and are a miserable failure.

You want THAT organization to control what happens to your robustness care?

If they can't take the easy stuff donehow do you ever expect them to button something as complex as the nation's health concern system.

It would automatically be the largest, most bureaucratic and most cumbersome federal agency in the U.S., virtually crippled underneath its own weight from the completely get shift.

The doctors won't want it because there will be no incentive to step into medical specalties. Right now, several docs know they can specialize and get rich. Without several docs in medical specialties, consequently the quality of the system will step down.

If you want a nationalized free health guardianship system, you'll get a free systembut it won't be one you'll want. It will be mediocre at best.

If you nick the profit motive out of the system, you kill of any incentive to spur trait or innovation.

A far, far better idea is to own a national health meticulousness access system where you pass poor citizens vouchers to purchase private health insurance on their own. It will be cheaper and much more decisive in the long run.
it should be we are the richest country within the world and we dont have it england have it canada has it surrounded by my state though (illinois) kids can get it which is pretty cool
Nothing is free. True, fundamental financial principle, "There is no such thing as a free lunch."

Now, if you are conversation about a healthcare system that can be access by anyone, that would be paid for by taxes or some other form of revenue. Most everything is salaried for by the work of working people, one process or the other. Any kind of system that may work to provide the best power care could work, but other competes with the quest for personal profit.
They do it contained by Canada, the UK, France and lots of other countries but in the US the doctor's and hospitals own always lobbied (bribed) congressmen and management officials so the law for socialized medicine could never ever be given a start.
"Free" as contained by forcibly take my money, hold the government distribute it, and phone call it free.

“I predict future cheeriness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the ancestors under the pretense of taking assistance of them.”
-Thomas Jefferson

.
Well, it's NOT free, ok, people rate EXHORBITANT taxes to have cr@ppy condition service with long lines and incredible delay, and third rate equipment.

NOTHING you get from the policy is "FREE". Whatever you get through the command, actually costs MORE than if you would catch it through the private sector, and is ALSO more filled beside fraud, because there's little inclination to do quality control.

If you want "free" strength care, move to Canada, or the UK, or the Netherlands. Be prepared to recompense 50% to 75% income taxes for your "free" health meticulousness.

But keep surrounded by mind, people near who can afford "real" health exactness, go to a private doctor or come to the US for medical watchfulness.
I think strength coverage should absolutely be free. There are over 46 million Americans in need health coverage and these are usually hardworking associates who still cant afford the insurance provided by their employers. If everyone be insured it would relieve the strain on emergency rooms, medical conditions would be diagnosed earlier and squirrel away lives, seniors would not have to choose between medication and food. I could stir on and on.
How could we pay for it? The parliament wastes billions of export tax dollars every year. This is money that is totally unaccounted for. In 2003, 24 billion dollars be lost in what the Treasury Department call "Unreconciled Transactions". This is money that the US auditors cannot account for (See U.S. Department of the Treasury, 2003 Financial Report of the United States Government, pp. 126, at fms.treas.gov/fr/ 03frusg.html (March 28, 2005). Unreconciled transactions totaled $3.4 billion surrounded by 2004.) This is money that someone somewhere has used and the Government does not know who or where on earth. Imagine if your spouse who does the budget had "unreconciled transactions" you would closing stages up in the poor house.
Every year here are billions in "unreconciled transactions". If the US establishment becomes smaller amount wasteful next to our money we would have more for social programs similar to health insurance.

But I'm a short time ago a bleeding-heart liberal

Boley I want to give you a THUMBS UP but I'm solitary level 1: sorry :)
I hold a B.A in Business Adminstration and am currently certified as a Nurses Aide, Med. Aide, and as a Restorative Aide. I state these facts not to thumb my muzzle at any but to point out that I do not merely speak an opinion, but instead speak an inference that is grounded within experience and an understanding of both capitalism and the HC industry. After adjectives, there is a difference between an feelings and an informed opinion. The following is my serving spoon on the subject and I'm sticking to it.

Private sector health meticulousness is said to be better yet adjectives other industrial countries have state controlled HC and you'll spy their citizens are NOT immigrating to the US. Everyone that I have set to be in the military over sea has told me that the robustness care within those countries is just as honest as ours.

The price of HC in the US is inflated by human greed, thru the device of lobbying. Take this fact as example, US pharmacuetical companies produce most of their products within countries like Canada and get rid of them there for a lower price, than they go them here. They go to countries approaching Canada to produce them, because the cost to manufacture is lower. This is legalized even though it is bad for the American worker who loses a work to a Canadian. Yet when people contained by America jump the Canadian border to buy indistinguishable drugs made by the same companies at a lower price than can be obtain here, people from the drug companies lobby and receive laws previous to make this dubious ( which has already be passed by Bush, and is now law). It is one of the copious hypocrasies of American capitalism. That's because their goal is not to craft the world a better place, or to practice a valid form of free market capitalism, but to net profits at others expense.

People talk something like the long lines in other countries when trying to carry in at the doctors organization, which is funny considering I went to the doctor finishing week with an appointment for 3 pm ... get in at 4:30pm, within America.

The government does not lobby to create an environment where on earth they can price gouge for such important things resembling medicine and medical caution, the private sector, however does. The only population to benefit from the medical system in America are the rich. Find me a character that is not rich and supports this form of HC and I'll show you a human being that is, as Lenin put it, a adjectives idiot (meaning he/she supports an ideology that is unpromising for him/her).

The idea that the private sector can do it cheaper is true, surrounded by theory. Yet within reality the price of private sector HC does not topple below the cost of goverment sector HC because the private sector adds within excessive profits, viz.; goverment sector HC costs 5, private sector HC costs 3, but they add within a profit margin of 2, so the total cost of Private sector HC is still 5. When society talk almost the amount of taxes other countries pay, they fall through to realize that those 65% taxes aren't just for HC its for hc and everything else. Figure out the cost you and your employer, settle for your HC here in America, determine what % of your paycheck this consistutes, afterwards add it contained by with the total export tax you pay to Uncle Sam for adjectives other things like roads, school etc etc and you'll find that the total cost to you is about one and the same as Europeans pay contained by taxes to their governments. Plus when your employer have to cover a part of your HC burden it jacks up his/her overhead and make it hard to compete near other industrial nations, which don't hold this factored into their overhead because its paid for by the state beside their tax money, which comes out of their paycheck. Make it slice of your tax burden and it reduce the burden to your employer. If you pay for your HC thru taxes you are taking trouble of your own cost of living, make your employer clear it and its nothing short of political affairs enforced welfare paid for by your employer.

My father (who made accurate money as a city manager and doesn't hold crappy HC coverage) recently go to an American dentist to get a set of partial dentures. He remunerated over $1,000 (can't remember the exact price) and it took forever to get them fitted. When it be all said and done they didn't fit. He played the subsidise and forth game trying to take them refitted properly. The mission was never trained. So he went to MEXICO, salaried what amounted to $600 and got a set that fit without a flaw the first time and in roughly speaking a 1/4 of the time it took here in America to attain them casted. So much for the fruits of capitalism in an industrial nation eh?

P.S. Some say-so that if we go to state HC systems the money a doctor make will be reduced and all the well-mannered doctors will split to other countries my question is where on earth will they go? China? Mexico? I'd much to some extent take my risks beside a doctor that got into the grazing land to help population as opposed to a doctor that get into the field to put together money ... wouldn't you?
It's not free, nor is there any path possible for it to be free. It has to be rewarded for somehow -- either through taxes or insurance premiums.

A number of countries own universal condition care or socialized prescription. Tax rates are astronoical in those countries.
Free is impossible, nil in energy is free. If someone can't get vigour insurance for some reason the organization steps in and provides coverage to some extent contained by some cases. This coverage is not free, everyone else is paying for it. This is part of the principle that taxes have to travel up periodically in directive to keep up beside the cost of such benefits that are given to the poor and disabled.
We as a public can vote it in, ultimately we hold a democracy and if the majority of the public want Socialized healthcare then the USA will enjoy it. Here is a dose of reality and probably why we won't:
a. England and Canada does not enjoy a middle class, you have rich and poor- within both places the rich still purchase health plans to see private physicians the poor are waiting contained by lines for medical care. Why, you ask- because of increased tax's- no big restricted if you want socialized medical plans you will need to settle for it by increasing tax's which will wipe out the middle class of america.
b. 300Million populate America, approx. 43million don't enjoy health insurance- will 90% of Americans money for 10% of those who don't have strength insurance?
c. War
D. Earthquakes, Hurricanes, any national disaster will stop any plans of socialized healthcare.

What I find a better question is this, why surrounded by a society that wants to lower healthcare premiums are Health Savings Accounts not more popular?.. to be exact the real give somebody the third degree, and here is a short answer, because health insurance companies and strength insurance agencies don't want you to buy them. You do not see any advertisements on these type of accounts. But as you voice, should health coverage be free, a soul who has a robustness savings information and it is fully funded and is self employed is getting his/ her healthcare for free,, but how many americans own health stash accounts currently approx. 3.5 almost 1%, because health insurance co's are not promoting these plans, as they are the most un-profitable. Do the research on Health Savings Plans, most large income earners have them, because they are usually the smartest with money matter. And they can be the best for Middle income earners.

Suing a entity beside insurance?

Question:
I was involved surrounded by an accident surrounded by November. There were no injuries. The insureds insurance company still have not paid. There be other 4 other ;people involved contained by the accident. There is one being who is missing and the insurance company hasn't been competent to get an estimate on their sports car. I was told that the missing can run up to 3 YEARS to come forward. Meanwhile, I am screwed out of 5,000. Can I sue their insuranced in small claims court? Will I win?

Answer:
You probably won't be capable of sue until you find out how much you're going to get. The problem is the at culpability party doesn't hold enough coverage. So the party involved receive a percentage of his property damage reduce and the insurance co needs to know what everybody's injure is to be able to payout respectively persons portion. If one personality doesn't want to cooperate or come forward they can't determine the payout until they know the amount of his damage. There is nought the insurance co can do until the missing comes forward or the legal consideration of time has passed.
When you do draw from paid, you can next probably go after the responsible deputation for the difference of what you got and the actual plunder
Work with your insurance company. You can bring your car fixed while they stir after the other insurance companies for reimbursement. All it will cost you is your deductible, which you will eventually get wager on.

If you are uninsured then you shouldn't own been driving within the first place. Good luck.
No and No.
I work for the claims area of a full-size insurance company.

I can assure you that regardless of whether we have details for ALL party involved, if our insured is at fault, we will foot the damages to all other party, once our insured has rewarded their excess.

The only pretext I can think for their reluctance to settle the claim is because here is some dispute in liability. You read out there be four other people involved contained by the incident. I presume this is five vehicles adjectives up? Or just five PEOPLE? If near are five vehicles involved, it would credible be a rear train collision with a domino effect, surrounded by which case, some investigation would call for to take place to determine who hit who and if within is an apportionment of blame, etc. If you post your email, I'll be happy to email you and try to aid out. I don't wish to post my email address on here.

EDIT: Okay, enjoy just realised I can dispatch you a message, so have done so :)
If you sue their INSURANCE, you own't win, because the INSURANCE COMPANY didn't bring the accident.

You hold to sue the person who in actuality caused the calamity.

Will you win? It depends on several things - 1. who's REALLY at fault for the twist of fate (most people ALWAYS suggest it's the other guy, even when THEY are at fault) 2. what you're claiming for damages - if it's legit or not, and if it's permissible surrounded by your state (you can't sue for pain and suffering if you enjoy a true no-fault state) 3. how clearly you present your case.

HELP PLEASE!!If a sum is due on Jan 1 and you are given a 31 hours of daylight grace extent to income?

Question:
what is the date the payment must be postmarkedor received by? If i dont catch this right I may lose my health insurance...Is it Jan 31 or Feb 1 or 2nd?

And Steve, I completely disagree more or less your advice to call upon the insurance comnpany! It is a Cobra plan. They are just complying beside state law and would bring any available opportunity to cancel my policy. I have a serious illness final year and the Third Party administrator paid out give or take a few 50,000 in claims. They are a small company and calling them would with the sole purpose bring attention to the fact that the pocket money has not be received. Thanks for your advice but you are kid yourself if honestly think the form insurance company is going to do me any favors!!

Answer:
jan 31
Those jacks want it in their hand!
February 1st
If you have a 31 sunshine grace period, after payment must be received and processed by the lapse of the 31st day. Anything after to be exact solely at the discression of the company. Many will charge a late allowance (like a mortgage or car payment), but more normally than not it will be noted on your credit report as a 30-day late (if it is a revolving account).
If the grace is 31 days, it would own had to own been within today
Good luck honey
Pay your bills on time and you will not own to worry going on for this. I mean robustness insurance is kinda important and stuff so sometimes you enjoy to not buy so much cigarettes and alcohol so you can afford to pay your bills.
Im not really sure but win it out ASAP health isurance is a must enjoy if something happens you could be in motion bankrupt exceptionally easily
You are really pushing the envelope at Feb. 1. I suggest you overnight the money to them.

received/postmarked by depends on policy, and also how they count their days. They may or may not include 1/1. Call them, or just be undisruptive and send it impulsive.
You're right, they probably wont do you any favors. My guess is that you have to own it postmarked by today. (That is, if they start counting from January 2nd.) Get it in the correspondence right now and dont sit here wondering what our responses will be!

Best of luck to you!
You will want them to enjoy it in mitt by the 31st. Its a 30 day grace term but they give you an added morning not including the day it be really do!
I count it as payment due Feb 1, 2007. January 1 be the deadline. The last "regular" morning for payment. January 2 be the first day of the grace interval. 31 days takes you to February 1 which is today. Good luck.
31 days after January 1 would be Feb 1. If you're mail it today though, I'd take it to the post organization and get a confirmation slip that you really mail it today, rather than risking losing condition insurance. And depending on the rules, it might be "mailed by" or "received by".
Sorry to relate you this but, January 1st has already passed. I can't relieve you, I'm very sorry!
Hate to convey you, but depending on the laws of your state, they do not hold to honor a post mark. The 31-day grace spell can and sometimes does mean IN at hand office by that date. As to when it expired, the grace length would have expired yesterday which be the 31st. If you pay it monthly, than as of today, you are two payments chronological due.

Who are YOU kidding? If you drop it sour they'll figure out it's behind schedule? My friend, I assure you the day it be DUE and it wasn't there it is flagged by their computer as LATE, grace spell or no grace period. Don't fool yourself that you can "sneak" it too them and not enjoy them notice.
you're simply getting all pissy at us because we are answering but not giving the answer you want which is "hey, no problem, not a soul will notice and in that will be no consequences" If you're in such a pinch, bid Legal Aid and ask them what the rules are before a vigour insurance policy in YOUR STATE can be canceled. And believe me, it is your STATE tenet that is the knob.
For Cobra, it is RECEIVED. And you don't get extra days if the 31st is a holiday or weekend.
I'm really not sure how it works next to COBRA... but part of my undertaking at the insurance company I work for (Life and Disability insurance) is reinstating policies. Which means after the grace spell is over, and THEN someone tries to pay their policy... we get hold of the option to agree on whether we still want to cover them or not. We have them saturate out an application answering health question and we sometimes check their medical records, and next we decide whether to reinstate the coverage or not. I'd read aloud that most of the time we reinstate the coverage. And, sometimes it's reinstated just next to an exclusion on certain vigour issues the policyholder may have have since the policy was within force.

Unfortunately, I came across a policy today that be needing to be reinstated, and they hold just submitted a claim... deplorably it won't be paid because he agree to his policy lapse.

Best advice I can make available you: Pay your premium when it's due unless you want to risk losing your coverage.
