~good luck~
You want to call your agent, and win them involved in this claim. This is silly. There is NO WAY they closed a claim from smaller quantity than a year ago and got rid of the information. They're required by decree to keep adjectives information for 7 years.
What you CAN do, is request copies of all the inspired correspondence, and copies of all payments that be sent. Whoever towed the car, THEY hold a copy of the authorization to tow the car, and the destination. Wherever it be towed to, should have it on inventory.
Something here STINKS to HIGH HEAVENS. Frankly, I dream up it's much more likely that the fiancee took the contribution check and intercepted the mail, than the insurance company (which one, btw?) behave that way. They would be demanding a title, ya know?
Unless near wasn't any coverage in place? Maybe the POLICY be cancelled for nonpay or something? You are WAY leaving stuff out here.
But your agent can recreate this entire case for you.
I can't believe this have gone on this long. What were you waiting for?
I will assume your primary dream is to get the claim remunerated. I will also assume since the company sent out an appraiser that there is valid coverage for the loss.
I would not budge to the Insurance Commissioner first. That will likely snag matters. If you want to report a complaint get the money salaried.
As a previous poster has pointed out, skip the adjuster and call upon and talk to a claim supervisor direct. Be polite but assertive. Find out what if any info they claim they need to settle the claim. Then if it have not already been sent convey it ASAP. Many claims like this are due to a capitalist defect contained by the vehicle. Make sure you ask the manager going on for any possible subrogation (reimbursement) claim against the car businessman.
In the meantime, do research about the advantage so you know what the car be worth at the time of the loss. That will help you release time also.
My guess is that the adjuster who told you that the file be closed and gone is an idiot. Insurance companies are required to keep files for at least possible 6 years in most states.
Good Luck
There is more to this story.
I agree next to some of the others above, there are like mad of details that we don't know, so it is hard to donate you a specific answer.
I would contact the insurance claims manager and first verify that they enjoy your correct address and phone number. You have to create a good religious conviction effort surrounded by conjunction with the insurance company to carry the claim resolved. Next, find out what the status of the claim is.
If the insurance company tells you they are still investigating, they might guess that there could be fraud/arson/intentional fire. In this valise they would have to hire a Cause and Origin company to determine exactly how the fire started. If they influence they need more time, they are required by directive to send you a "Reservation of Rights" missive.
If you can't get a response from the insurance company, contact the Insurance Commisioner contained by your state.
if you bought it new you're still beneath the 3yr/36000 mile warranty... even used, if you're paying toyota you probably bought it through their certified used.. Have Toyota repair /replace under their warranty, which is one of the best offered. Give them your insurance info...
Then agree to the 2 big bad companies duke it out.
I own six companies underneath 1 umbrella. necessitate to know sould i get hold of different toll i. d numbers for them,?
Question:
or should I keep them near the same duty i.
Answer:
Different tax ID's or DBA's. Otherwise, your six companies will be treated as one company when duty time comes.
IF they all own the same rates id number, after you have ONE company, near six different names - they must be dba's or something similar to that.
I would seperate the attachability of assets by having six different corporations, which would tight-fisted each have it's own tax psyche number.
Hey, it seems close to you work in like company I do. Every year, I get these 1099 Forms from a range of companies. Each business has their own Tax ID. So you obligation to report them all on your 1040. Basically, you are really working for 6 companies since you flea market them.
How do I reward for this medical bill? (long story)?
Question:
A few years ago I was on some psychiatric drugs and I run out and couldn't get more. The result be I tried to commit suicide but the police stoped me and took me to the hospital. The doctors there said I can any voluntarily commit myself or the doctor would do it for me. Since I didn't have a choice I settled to cooperate and I went voluntarily. I be only surrounded by the hospital for 3 or 4 days but the bill they sent me was for over $8000. My insurence didn't cover adjectives of it and now the hospital is sending collection agencys after me for $1500. There is no instrument I can pay for this because I'm unqualified to work. I applied for social security disability but they denied me. I'm at a total loss. Now I'm wish I had jump.
Answer:
Unfortunately, you should have deal with this long up to that time it went to a collection agency.
Most hospitals will write rotten a certain number of bills for nation that are unable to settle up. You need to yak to the billing department at the hospital.
However, what state are you in? It is moderately possible that you are past the statute of limitations contained by your state. The law vary by state. You said a few years ago. How MANY years ago, like approximate date?
Post an update to your interrogate giving me the state and the date this happened.
Also, when be the last time you made any money on the bill or agreed to make payments?
Don't jumpCall the hospital's billing department. You can actulally consult them down in price. If you have insurance at the time, they can only charge you what they would charge the insurance company.
get arrangements to pay somewhat at a time. don't panic.
Just distribute them 25 dollars a month. They won't charge you interest. As long as they are getting something they will leave you alone. Also apply for misfortune status at the hospital. They will sometimes wave the bill completely.
If you are powerless to work, apply for medicaid.
All hospitals in Connecticut own a "free bed" program. You may qualify, as they are income-based. You should talk to the billing department at the hospital and see if they can dispatch you some information.
Medicaid will help you within the future, but won't retro cover you to "a few years ago".
If you have insurance, it sounds like the $1500 is your hospital services deductible, and would not own been any different if the amount billed by the hospital be less than $8000.
Unfortunately, this is the result of not knowing the details of yoru insurance coverage. Listen when brokers bring up to date you, or read the material when it is deliver by the insurance company. Every insured receives the information one means of access or the other.
Let me know if you need any other help.
Very few empire have vigour insurance policies that would cover 100% of the cost of a hospital stay (at least not until a deductible have been met first.) Most own an 80/20 split even after the deductible has be met (meaning the policyholder has to wage 20% of the covered amount up to a maximum out of pocket amount per year, on most policies.)
If your original bill be right at $8,000, this would seem to be true contained by your case because 20% of $8,000 is $1,600.
This method that you ARE responsible for the billed amount. However, that doesn't mean that you should tolerate it become something insurmountable. I sell condition insurance for a living and the last time I have to have medical test done (including a couple of MRIs), it took me nearly two years to pay bad my portion of the bill.
If this hasn't already gone to collections, you can still make arrangements for a pay-out plan. And as long as you make some consistant endeavour toward paying off the bill, they won't transport it to collections (but do NOT miss a month, even if you can only dispatch $10.)
They are also much more likely to agree to write some portion of that amount sour if you actually phone them and try to work something out than if you just forget about it (in which case it WILL be in motion to collections.)
Don't freak!
Hospitals have charities set up to give support to people who can't afford their hospital bills. Call the hospital and ask for a social worker and see if they can serve you out. If they can't, make an agreement to distribute them $5 or $10 a month - even though you may never pay them sour, it'll keep you out of collection and won't screw your credit.
Good luck, and suspend in within!
Its probably your deductible. You probably have to income it. If its in collections, try to work out a contribution arrangement.
Before you pay anything, christen your insurance company, and tell them you're self billed. If they confirm it is for your deductible, you have to compensate it. If its not your deductible, they'll be able to back you. I've worked in ins & robustness care for 10+ yrs.
benefit of insurrance?
Question:
can every one tell me the benefit of insurance
Answer:
I guess you enjoy never been contained by a position to need insurance.
Health Insurance - help pay the medical bills when you bring back sick.
(My medical insurance paid over 10,000. later year for a pretty minor illness (thankfully it turned out to be minor).
Auto insurance - pays for damages you are liable for contained by the event of an accident, pays to repair your coup¨¦ if it is your fault or your motor is stolen or damaged.
Homeowners insurance - pays for covered peril, such as fire, theft, hailstones, windstorm, civil commotion - etc.
There are many benefits of insurance.
Most ethnic group see no benefits in insurance- until they call for it! Seriously, insurance is critical in society because for a relatively small premium you pocket away uncertainty. If in attendance was no insurance would someone risk losing everything contained by selling a new drug or innovative product or even spending your time savings on a home and have it burn down in an instant? Probably not. They would basically keep their money surrounded by the bank and innovation and investment would suffer,
Insurance companies pool adjectives the premiums from thousands of policy holders and use it to pay for the few who hold a claim (after taking a small cut off the top for their trouble!) In return the thousands of policy holders can sleep at darkness because they know should they suffer a loss, they will be reimbursed, not wiped out financially.
And if you do,retribution a personage who have be appointed executor of estate?
Question:
My Mother passed away and appointed a friend to handle her estate..basically don't know what to pay her,,,,
Answer:
At the particularly least her expense should be salaried. Gasoline, postage, etc. If possible you should make some consideration for the time involved as very well. It really isn't fair to ask someone to work for free even if it is a accurate friend. They can refuse the payments if they want to do so.
~
If there isn't much involved, within;s no real property, and if she truly is a friend, zilch.
But that's a matter that should be discussed between the executor and administrator.
Call an accountant contained by the phone book, and ask what they'd charge.
I have never hear of paying an executor when it is a personal friend or family contestant. And, I would never accept money for doing that for a friend or kith and kin member, any. I suggest being break open about it and conversation to your mother's friend about it directly to see how she feel. She probably feels like peas in a pod way.
i catch robustness insurance or unempolyment next to conservatory league any one know why i cant capture both?
Question:
Answer:
maybe the grouping representative can explain it? I had NO belief unions offered "unemployment" coverage. Why would you ever clutch it, when you can collect from the state? I'd go for the condition insurance, without even thinking twice.
