Insurance Questions and Answers

Insurance claims enquiry?

Question:
Where does an atheist stand against what is classed as an 'act of God'?

Answers:
An "Act of God" is actually a officially recognized term within a contract meaning that the loss be caused by something specifically out of people's control i.e. an earthquake, a flood, lightning, etc.
I'm not sure an atheist would have much to articulate to be honest. The insurance companies classifications of what that "act of God" is is what's meaningful. You can take it or move off it.
When Isurance companies say " an accomplishment of God " it means no we are not paying
I really don't suppose the insurance company cares if YOU are an atheist or not. But an "Act of God" is an incident which is out of your control. Car-deer hit, frozen rain, vandalism. House-lightning, hail, fire, etc. Insurance companies DO take-home pay on these. They are just considered a non-chargeable incident. It does not step against your claim history. Unless the specific incident is excluded on your policy it will be covered.
hiporcrite
"God" only routine higher power. that`s why, an "act of God" is an accomplishment of a higher power..description lightning, windstorm, hail, nouns crafts falling, ect. Something that is out of human control. I'd recommend you pretend you belive in God if you want your claim processed.
It doesn't business what an atheist thinks - "act of God" are predefined by the insurance company and should be listed contained by the insurance policy.

How do I run going on for finding out if someone have taken out a existence insurance policy short my experience?

Question:
I am suspicious about a relative of mine. I enjoy a sneaky suspicion that there is a life span insurance policy on me. I did not authorize this person to do so. I am getting greatly of emails and postal documents concerning life insurance.

Answers:
They can't. You inevitability to sign off on the application. You would take a visit from a paramedic from the insruance company, who would ask for ID to proove who you are, later would ask for blood, urine, and saliva samples. AND your medical paperwork would have to be released.

Currently, in that are a LOT of life insurance scam going around. I wouldn't let unwanted items mail ruin your existence.

If you're asking another question, no, there's no middle database where you can pop within someone's name, and find out if a time insurance policy has be issued for them.
No one can take out a time insurance policy on you without your scholarship unless you're a minor. Also, they must have an insurable interest contained by you and this wouldn't apply to just any relative.
If you are an grown, it didn't happen, Hollywood movies notwithstanding. In Hollywood, you will see energy policies being taken out minus people's knowledge, but it basically doesn't happen contained by real existence.

If you just made a indisputable estate purchase, it is very feasible that you will get flooded beside life insurance offer. Your home purchase is a public record, and it can be access. This may explain some of the junk letters.

Just as an extra note, even grandparents have need of to get approval of parents previously they can own a life insurance policy on their grandchildren. I wouldn't verbs about your shady relative.
The singular way it could hold happenned is if you were a child and this relative be either parent/grandparent. Other relatives will obligation your parents signatures to get a enthusiasm insurance policy on your life.
Small insurance policies might not involve the visit of a paramed/ medical examiner, but they will still involve your signature (if you were over 18).
Even if they own an insurance policy on your life, you could hold some resources based on what is call "insurable interest". Insurable interest means that the personality who owns (or buys) a life insurance policy that insures the natural life of other person have some interest on his/her life. For example a wife will hold interest in his husband's time because if he passes away, his income will also set out the household. A business partner might have interest on the go of his partner because of their business. An uncle might not have insurable interest on the time of a nephew (provided that the nephew's parents are alive and taking care of the child), because it won't represent any financial change, should he surpass away.

My wife have an injury at work (house keeper)the ins/rejected the surgery, the surgeon want todoit a.s.a.p.?

Question:
Her Attorney doesn't want to file "Expedited Hearing to verbs medical treatment to court, and he is closing her case and request medical adjectives. She is on severy pain/knee is swell. What else she needs to do?

Please oblige...

Answers:
If she needs the surgery, bring back the surgery, worry more or less the claim later.

Clearly, there's an issue beside the claim - does the attorney agree that she doesn't have a biddable case? I can't see why else he would close it.
Find yourself another Attorney it shounds like the one you enjoy is working with the insurance. Do you hold a workers comp. lawyer. God Bless

Unemployment?

Question:
If I leave a situation that I was at for 2 years, to find another more stable chore, and they lay me off, can I collect dismissal?

Answers:
If you leave the chore by your own accord, you cannot collect job loss. If you are fired or laid off from work, it is possible to collect severance UNLESS you were tolerate go for unprincipled reasons.
If you exit a job voluntarily you can not collect dismissal. If you are laid off you can collect dismissal. If you take a donate of absence and they lay you bad you should contact the EDD. they can give you an exact answer.
You mention two contradictory things. If you are let go, ie, get a pink slip, later yes you can collect unemployment.

If you voluntarily quit after no, the company does not have to money you unemployment.

If you are saw the second company laid you off your eligibility depends on how long you worked for them.
Unemployment benefits swing by state. If you leave your current chore BEFORE finding a new available job, then you may not know how to collect. But if you go straight from your current living to a new situation, then go and get laid off, customarily you can collect.

Loss Adjuster, Insurance & Flood harmed?

Question:
Evening all, on Friday my bungalow get flooded in 5ft of rainfall. Absolutely everything is ruined. Does anyone have any belief how a loss adjuster comes up with the numeral to give to the insurance company? I would close to to know what to expect as far as building and contents insurance go and how summarily the work will take to be done, any info treatment

Answers:
I would try and work out what is damaged beyond repair and try and assign a sensible efficacy to it (on a new for older basis). The Loss adjustor is unlikely to query the difference between lb700 and lb750 for a three-piece suite for instance. If you can do this it will liberate them a lot of trouble and backing to get your claim sorted quicker.

The solely problems that may occur is if the adjustor (who probably have a copy of your policy by the way) is of the opinion that you are underinsured - surrounded by which case your claim will be reduced.

Please document that the list does not enjoy to be a definitive and final one. If you subsequantly discover other items have be damaged next they can be added.

The loss adjustor may also arrange for dehumidfying equipment to be brought in to start to dry out the building. For buildings they will probably authorise an approved company to do the repairs and be billed directly.

It does aid in this sort of circumstance to hold buildings and contents with one and the same insurer!
Good Luck. The adjusters have a formula to to this. First your policies , must be contained by order. Then they will detail you what is what. But they deal on a policy by policy arrangement. Not what others (friends) enjoy told you. Talk to your insurance agent with your policy surrounded by hand and procure the full information from him.
Everything depends on policy coverages and deductables..and depreciation.. Find out when it all happen.. Sorry bout the flood.
you can visit this site
Adjusters enjoy standard formulas to refer to when try to estimate your loss. How much money you get for the property or your contents depends on the adjusters estimation. If they consider it a total loss, it will pay cheque out your policy limits. If profusely of people living within your area also flooded and enjoy flood claims, it might take longer for an adjuster to survey your home because they will be liable to many claims. Even later, it could really take 2 or more months formerly your claim is procesed and you receive a check from NFIP.

What happends if a personality have no medical insurance and he/she wants prompt medical attention?

Question:
who pays for it?

Answers:
The person that wishes the prompt medical attention needs to dance to the nearest emergency room. The patient is responsible for the costs of the treatment unless the tolerant is a minor (then the parents are responsible). That person would stipulation to work out payment arrangements beside the hospital.
Taxpayers
There is no blanket answer on who gets stuck beside the bill, but this is a huge problem.

Originally, the hospital and doctors will try to collect from the individual. That's part of why medical expenses are the number one bring of bankruptcies contained by this country.

If the person have limited resources, the state may hold programs that help. In Arizona, healthcare expenses are the number one and two biggest expense items contained by the state budget, and almost equal all other costs of running the state.

Finally, if the entity is an illegal resident, copious times the hospitals have to munch through the entire cost. This is why Los Angeles has lost two of it's County hospitals contained by the last seven years.

The hopeless part is that at hand are affordable health plans available to most ethnic group.
then dance to your local emergency room, a regular doctor can turn you away but a hospital, legally and ethically cannot, transport you away without treatment if you medically have need of it, their will be a bill of course and if you enjoy no insurance then you can apply for assistance beside your local Hrs, the goverment has adjectives kind of give support to available for people within need, that's why the usa is the best country by far contained by the world, I have found myself surrounded by the same situation a few times surrounded by my life, ultimate year for one, i had to be taken tp the hospital by ambulance and be there for 11 day's i have a fibroid that grew threw my uterus and into my cervix it was massive, redundant to say i have been hemorraging for a couple of week's but not to doomed to failure until the last 3 day's beore i be nospitalized then it get massively worse, on friday night i be up all darkness, couldn't get out of the bathroom, dont want to gross anyone out but you know what hemmoraging is im sure, saturday stupid me i only had to give somebody a lift my son to his baseball game, culture who saw me sitting in my motor tried to get me to travel to the hospital on sat even call the paramedics i refused a nice friend form our squad drove me home and took my kids for the weekend, i dont remember anything from early sit aft until mon morning at like 6:30 contained by the morn when i woke up in severe throbbing, my cervix was dilated 7 and i wasn't pregnant but the discomfort i was consciousness was labor pains isn't that some ****? be contained by labor and not pregnant, that's when my boyfriend called a ambulance and i be rushed to the hospital, i was within critical care for 3 day's, they said i be within a hour of dying (out of 16 unit's of blood within your body i was down to 1) so i have several transplants, stayed until they got me stabilized afterwards they had to acquire me stronger, because my tests come back aphorism i was hungry, then 6 days' ;latter they did a full hysterectomy, no choice did i have surrounded by the matter, it have to be done, or the same problem would preserve happening, so i cant hold any more children but I am alive to watch my other two grow up and i will never be so stupid as to loaf so long again because i had no insure and really didn't know what to do, if you obligation medical assistance go andget it immmediately
if a being is not having any any form policy ... no body going to pay it but the character himself
The person! You have need of the service, you can get it, but you reimburse for it out of pocket.
The person is responsible for the service provided. However, if they cannot settle up than there is a fund for this set up contained by many hospitals. It is call the Hill Burton program and is the result of the US federal government years ago establishing hospitals contained by each state. There are a register of these hospitals that provide this program for free or low cost medical treatment.

If you are considering life insurance, afterwards I have included a connect to HBW, whom I am affiliated with. They are non-captive, which mechanism you can represent other companies as well. They also own incentives for training and developing new brokers, which medium it is in someone else's best interest to see you become successful.

Who is an expert contained by CT workers comp insurance?

Question:
I am an insurance agent new to commercial insurance and want to understand workers compensation insurance better.

Answers:
OK, resourcefully, you're going to have to take home friends with your WC underwriters, and appointment them for specific questions, and READ YOUR NCCI booklet!!

You can ALSO go to your local branch of www.iiaa.org, and sign up for some original workers comp classes.

Comp isn't hard - it's VERY straightforward. If you've see a policy, you'll notice within isn't much there - because it's adjectives "per case law" within your state.
I'm sure that there are attornies surrounded by your area who could help out. Have you read over the states web site?
Are you working for an agency? Are near producers there that can assist you? You can go to your local IIA or PIA for information. Also, sign up for workers comp classes. All states require continuing lessons & there are plenty of classes available. Tell your boss that you necessitate additional training within workers comp. He or she will much prefer that you know the coverages backwards & forwards than open the agency up for an E&O loss because you didn't know what you be doing.
I would open a phone book and look contained by attorneys for one with a list saying he or she is "board certified" surrounded by workers compensation. Take them to lunch and pick their brain. Most lawyers will be flattered you call and if invited would even give a free edifying lecture to a bunch of adjusters (like ISAC, a group of independent adjusters surrounded by Florida I have spoken to heaps times) Just call them and relay them you are trying to understand workers comp better and hear they had a wonderful reputation etc. (flattery works) and I bet it works. Don't have a chat to the secretary - say you are an insurance agent and really requirement to hold and speak to the lawyer or it won't work.

I enjoy an interview near Combined Insurance company. Do they propose floor compensate or remunerated training?

Question:
The position is a Manager Trainee or Account Executive. I am wondering because the interview is at a hotel in my nouns and I have never hear of them before. Why do they own interviews at the hotel instead of an office? Has anyone worked for this company past? Is this door to door sales? ANY INFORMATION WOULD HELP ---Thanks to adjectives in credit!

Answers:
I have be in the Life & Health Insurance business for over 30 years and I am comfortable with Combined Insurance. They marketplace primarily accident and "dread disease" (cancer...) insurance, though they also give some life insurance products as resourcefully. They are having the interviews contained by a hotel, because almost all olf their Reps work out of their home. Combined Insurance agents are some of the hardest working agents out near. There is a lot of "pounding the pavement" and door to door selling... primarily to businesses and some to family. Their biggest competition is AFLAC. You may be on a "Draw" for income for a while, though you will quickly be on straight commission... You provide, you get rewarded... You don't... you don't... That is the way the insurance business is usually.. The possession "Manager Trainee" is sort of a joke within a way though... You may be given the opportunity to conscript someone else later... specifically basically what that way.. If you have any further question you may e-mail me directly at johncvenezia.clu.chfc@gmail.co... ..

Best Regards,

John C. Venezia, CLU, ChFC, CITRMS
not sure what an account executive will do in attendance, but i went through tthe complete process with them and get hired, then turned it down after anyone told by many ancestors not to work there

it is door to door sale, just stopping within at random houses and prehistoric customers, high pressure sale, even the job proffer, they had to articulate to my wife and said she has an appointment at an bureau 45 minutes away tomorrrow, i said i cant set it without chitchat to her, they tried to pressure me saying i be risking the job,

i required to strangle them,

i hear they get bright people surrounded by, have them market to all of their relatives and friends, later abandon them and verbs to another person that can vend to friends and family
Just almost all insurance sale positions are commission only. Most of them provide some even of training. I chose to represent the companies I work with because they are particular names, I can be a non-captive agent, and they are capably rated.

People consistency more comfortable buying brands they are familiar beside. Also, you have to believe within what you are selling. If you believe you have something that can truly spawn a difference for people, after you should be proud to tell adjectives of your family and friends roughly speaking it. It could help them. They might know others that obligation your services.

Being non-captive meens I can represent a variety of companies that extend different solutions. Not everyone needs the exact same coverage.

Finally, a company's S & P or Moody's rating tell you how financially sound they are. An insurance policy is primarily a promise to pay should something transpire. The better the rating is, the greater the company is seen as anyone able to be in that for it's customers in the adjectives.

Check out my site. If you are interested in representing any of the companies I do, consent to me know.
These guys have be running this BS scam for years. RUN. You will not be an account exec or mgr trainee. You will be a large pressure POS salesperson preying on people. The
interview is contained by a hotel because they come into an area to "recruit" for a week or so consequently leave in need a trace except for all the pissed past its sell-by date people who interviewed near them and accepted the "job" with the sole purpose to find out that they would be cold-calling for sales.

Do some research through the Better Business Bureau, your states dept of commerce or insurance commissioners bureau, check them out on http://www.ripoffreport.com. Also G00GLE them and look for the complaints.

Find any other job. Good Luck
They enjoy the interviews in a hotel, because they don't enjoy local offices. You'd be working out of your home, most imagined, and yes, it would most likely be a straight sale job.

I'd be surprised if you get either platform pay or rewarded training - but even FREE training is worth something, if you want a career within insurance sales.
perchance you should ask these questions at the interview?

What do you do when Insurance recompense out is not ample?

Question:
We had a lightening strike and lost our tv, the insurance are feeling like to pay out but the tv they are offering us is no where on earth near the price that we rewarded for ours (albeit several years ago) and is not very attractive , can we haggle beside them to go up contained by price and has anyone done this and succeeded. Thanks.

Answers:
Hey sorry to hear that pups , it must hold been abit mental to voice the least . I'm not really up to speed next to the insurance thing , but i would possibly spend an hour or two reading the small print on your policy as i know they are the biggest rip off merchants here is . On a brighter note the cost of TVs at the moment are pretty possible - you can pick up a 32" LCD screen TV for around 500/600 quid , shop something like though and have a look on kelkoo , when you do achieve your new tele it might be perceptive to invest in a surge protected socket strip in-case lightening does strike twice ( god forbid ) ....lift care and don't forget to be your wellies for a day of two ( rubber soles and adjectives that haha ) xxxxxx
The agents (and they have vastly little latitude to change unless you hold a major picture with them) use a cost depreciation model so collect your breadth. Also given the price versus function of TVs made a few years ago versus current models you may be able to replace function for function at a reduced amount.

Good luck.
Well your first mistake be not sticking in a massive insurance claim close to the rest of us do. You only claimed for a TV after one hit by lightning.
No, they will only recompense out for wear and tear. Insurance companies are the biggest rip bad companies.
The purpose of insurance is to put you back contained by the same positions as you have been formerly the incident. The TV you bought several years ago may have be top of the range consequently but its not now! The TV person offered is the same systematic specification as the one you had, as TVs enjoy moved on this is why you think you not getting what you deserve. TV do not increase within value. If you remunerated lb1000 5 years a go for a 32 inch TV you will not be getting a TV that retails at lb1000 presently as it would like to be LCD, Plasma or near built in digital which you did not enjoy. The best you can do is ask for a cash settlement or a cheque. Or submission to pay an upgrade where on earth you can take ascendancy of any discounts with suppliers they may own.
No it does not work - I am an insurance claims manager - we not surrounded by the business for haggling!
It adjectives depends upon your insurance. If your homeowner's insurance was for replacement efficacy, then price should be no issue, they should replace it near a new one to be precise similar to the one that you lost. With TV's declining contained by value you should know how to get at tiniest as good a TV as you have before. However if you didn't hold replacment value insurance, you will salary your deductible and then they will bear the depreciated value of your TV and proposition that to you. Good luck you can haggle but the type of coverage will have seriously to do with your nouns.
That's because your homeowner's probably has acv on contents. They figure out the depreciated value of the tv after a few use of wear & break, then they give you a new tv at that pro. There is no such thing as haggle in p&c insurance. The just thing you can do is sue, which is particularly not worth it for a TV.

More importantly! if your only loss for a lightening strike be your tv set, you're very lucky. I am interested surrounded by knowing how much that loss actually be and if it was in truth worth making. CLAIMS WORK AGAINST YOU. If you have a repetitive claim history, especially for such a tiny sum of money, your insurance company can legitimately cancel your policy. I wouldn't be surprised if your homeowner's rates go up as well and they verbs the expense of that tv. And if you get cancelled due to claim frequency, you will realize other companies don't want you any, you've become too much of a risk. Thus you will either be uninsured or near your state's "insurance plan of last resort" paying thousands more than you would beside a competitive, private insurance company. I'd be more worried about my claim history, if I be you.

Does anyone know of a program for keeping track of primary and seconday condition insurance payments as they come

Question:
My husband has be in the ICU for the ending two weeks and has $1.2 million surrounded by bill so far. His insurance has a 25 % co-pay which mine picks up, but he usually does the insurance and his "system" "baffles" me. Is in attendance a program out there that I can use to hang on to track of bills and payments? I thought I was one, but not that I stipulation it I can;t find it. Thanks for any help. I can really, really use it!!

Answers:
My son have had cancer for two years and I preserve all bills and insurance information within binders. I file by type of bill and by date. He is covered by Anthem BC/BS and by Medicare. We hold case manager for both anthem and medicare and I can call them. If nearby is a question on any bill or service I ring up the hospital or the insurance company and write down dates, times, name, and what the conversation was just about. We have file three appeals after being denied benefits for 'medically unnecessary' and it help tremendously to be able to locate this information like a shot and efficiently. We won adjectives our appeals.

Stay strong. You can do this!
Yes there is. Its call a Notebook. Take his hospital bills, and read them carefullly. Place information concerning what he owes and what has be paid, Keep adjectives info together. And most of all, know where on earth this notebook is at all times.

Revising my interrogate. an unmarried couple buy a house. and are both owners, is who claims the taxes?

Question:

Answers:
This is a tax put somebody through the mill, not an insurance question.

Assuming the ownership is split 50/50, they can respectively claim half the taxes, if they respectively PAY half the taxes. If one soul pays all the taxes, after the portion of the taxes they paid on behalf of the other individual is a GIFT.

It's really, really messy financially to own a house with someone you aren't married to. And if you reflect it's bad immediately, just continue until you break up, and neither of you wants to move out.
Already answered surrounded by the Tax area -- this is insurance. Here's a correlation: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

Here's what I posted:

Either or both of you, as long as both of you are listed on the achievement and mortgage.

The Form 1098 from the lender will only own one SSN on it. If you split the deduction for the mortgage interest that personage will need to include a signed statement next to their tax return book the co-borrower's name and SSN and the amount of the interest that they'll claim. The other owner wishes to include a similar statement with their return, list the other borrower's details in impossible to tell apart manner

Does homeowner's insurance usually cover 100% of your home good point during a fluent disaster?

Question:

Answers:
Only if you are fully covered for the replacement cost of the home. A common error that may family make is to insure their home just for what they paid for it. I compensated $117k for my place but building a similar home in the nouns would cost $225k today so that's how much coverage I have to take to be fully covered.

On top of that, if you are covered for less than 80% of the replacement cost, ANY pay on any claim will be adjusted downward to emulate the proportional amount of the coverage. For example, if you're covered only for 75% of the replacement cost and own a roof damage claim, reimbursement will be predetermined to 75% of the repair cost.

Of course, in adjectives claims the deductible will be subtracted from any and all claims.
"Usually" is the push button word. Not normally. The majority of associates are under-insured. One needs to review their policy once a year and make sure it keep up with inflation.
No one here know this answer; check your policy.
I would check the policy to see what the coverages are/or contact your insurance agent and he/she will know what exactly is covered and how much.
Not to be flip, but like grandpa said..."read everything you sign." You stipulation to carefully read and work out your policy statement. Do NOT call your agent, ask them a query, get a generic answer, after think you are OK.
Just look at the lawsuits related to insurance claims surrounded by LA, MS, California, etc. A lot of folks thought they were covered.
Flooding is not covered, neither is sewer backbone up and lots of other items.
no
Depends on your policy. Some have full replacement good point. Some just payment you whatever the amount of the policy is. Some require you re-build within the same spot. Call your agent.
Policies are adjectives written differt---not all companies hold the same coverages...If you enjoy no idea--better sit in the agents organization with a write down pad and create sure that the coverages are what you expct for the monthly premium
That's a loaded question. "Natural disaster" isn't referred to contained by a policy. And I'll tell you flat out, FLOOD ISN'T COVERED by the homeowners policy. In some areas, WIND isn't covered lower than a homeowners policy, you need seperate coverage for that.

In ANY overnight case, most policies DON'T cover more than you insure your house for, and MOST people don't resembling to insure their home for 100% REPLACEMENT value. They prefer insuring for MARKET worth, so it's frequently a fight when you start a policy, to be sure the house is insured suitably.

SOME policies aren't even WRITTEN on a replacement value, but "functional replacement" or even "market" good point, which would leave a home SUBSTANTIALLY underinsured within case of a loss.

To sum up, if you want YOUR house to be fully covered during a "instinctive disaster", schedule a sit-down beside your agent, be sure you have a replacement policy where on earth your house is insured to full value, check that you own flood coverage in place (seperate policy, remember?) and turn (might be a seperate policy), and earthquake (also might be a seperate policy). NO ONE HERE can give a complete discretion answer that's accurate, to YOUR situation.

Errors and Omissions insurance for a unsullied brokerage?

Question:
My problem is pretty simple, and yet is turning out to be surprisingly difficult to solve. I am turning to adjectives of you for your experience and help.

I am planning to start an independent insurance brokerage within California. In order to do that, I requirement to be appointed, and in command to be appointed, I need E & O.
There is as you would expect no shortage of E & O companies in California. What I am have an extraordinary amount of difficulty in, is finding one that will insure a NEW brokerage, that doesn't hold 1 year as an established business. I know there must be one out at hand, or there would never be any strange agencies in the state.
Can anybody report me what company to shop with? And possibly some insurance companies in this state, that appoint agencies near less than 1 year established?
Really, any information at adjectives that you can give me will assist - there are surprisingly few resources online to tutor someone how to start a brokerage.
And please don't answer with "Don't start a brokerage."

Answers:
Have you be working a long time in insurance? Have you be licensed for a few years at least? If yes, submit your resume to the agent looking for E&O for you - see if that will assist. If the answer is no to these things, you may have a difficult time getting E&O. Have you tried a surplus lines possessor? If you have be licensed & working in an agency, you enjoy a working relationship with some companies & they may be capable of help you or distribute you in the right direction. Or, another route, see if you can carry appointed with a direct writer.
Contact your local branch of IIAA - they'll know how to steer you in the direction of a holder that writes in your state, that will do a tentative agency.
