My health insurance company sent a check to me for the amount of the my hospital bill (well some of it) for when I have my daughter. My husband and I needed extra money so we used some of it for other stuff that we needed (I wasn't working and he was laid of rotten work) and we were of late going to pay the monthly to the hospital for the bill instead of using adjectives of the check from them. well immediately, they are asking for the money back 5 months subsequent, because they billed it wrong. will I get surrounded by trouble for spending the money?? or can we pay them support monthly.. they shouldn't have sent the check to me, but to the hospital, so very soon they are reprocessing it.

You do realize that this whole problem would own been avoided if you have sent the money to the hospital -- since that's WHAT IT WAS INTENDED FOR - you knew i.e. what that money was intended for.

Well, they probably just aren't going to wage the hospital until/unless you pay them hindmost - in full. They'll probably let somebody know the hospital they sent the money to you, and the hospital will put you through collections to get the money. They don't HAVE to submit you a payment plan - but they usually will, as long as you can payment it off inside a year. It's easier and cheaper for them to take a satisfactory monthly payment, than to appropriate you to court and garnish your wages. i work plentifully with recoupement of funds remunerated in error...
