Many insurance companies will provide insurance coverage to gay couples... even co-habitating gay couples but not co-habitating hetero-sexual couples..what's up with that?
Answers: It's my sensitive that if an insurance company (or employer's group coverage) wants to cover doesn`t matter what couple-married or not, they may. It's a choice.
I don't think in that are going to be many insurance companies that will hold out or do now submission coverage to co-habitating gay couples--the kicker is that now within the eyes of the law, if it is legalized for them to wed, they should be afforded healthcare, just resembling any other married couple.
I'm sure I will get heaps thumbs down for this, but I think it is fair--I in recent times don't think it should be call marriage.
There are insurance companies that proffer benefits to co-habiting straight couples, at least for long permanent status care. It's up to respectively insurance company what they want to cover and what they do not, as long as they don't break the law. Now that the law have changed surrounded by some states, I expect the benefits will change contained by those states, but there is an administrative cost to these change so it will take a while.
Remember single a few states recognize same-sex union, and there is still the issue of states not recognize legal ceremony performed within other states. (Imagine getting married in Wisconsin, but when you move to Oregon you are suddenly unmarried.)
Why you are over-concerned next to insurance companies? basically insurance is just about a single person's health and not the path he lives. It is each person's condition & habit that matter. As far as the beneficiary is concerned, if the marriare is legal, one can nominate their partner otherwise one have the right to nominate anyone (pets prohibited) Most states don't recognize a same sex marriage ceremony.
Us hetero couples don't have Straight Pride Parades.
