Day trading stocks?

my econ class is using a virtual stock flea market hobby call stocksquest and it doesnt allow us to do afternoon trading. my give somebody the third degree is later can i buy stocks at 11:55 PM and consequently go them at 10:00 AM the subsequent morning?
Answers: That is depend on the design on the spectator sport. Normally sunshine trade is niggardly you buy and Dutch auction your stock on like time or Dutch auction it on the subsequent daytime. It should be done on the business hour.
okay the best opening to do it would be to find a stock i.e. going up after hours and after market it surrounded by the morning when the flea market open. you jsut enjoy to buy the stock earlier midnight so you can put up for sale it the subsequent year.

Easy ask :-D?

How much do i own to make available if the full price is 1524$ and within asking for 15% deposite?
Answers: 228.60$, you multiply 1524 X .15, the .15 = 15/100 = 15%

Diversification proposal...?

I hold brkb and a metals fund, and I'm a pretty conservative investor. What are some other stocks/funds I can invest contained by to soundly diversify? Or, could I count brkb as diversification since it's so widely invested?
Answers: Someone posted past mutual funds, great mode to diversify. Also, I have an Economics professor that swore by index investing. His logic be multi-part (1) undemanding, it required him to do no work to invest, (2) he hypothesized that the flea market have not underperformed relative to a picnic basket of blue-chip stocks . . . I suppose this make sense since the S&P and DJI are both indexed near blue-chip companies. My suggestion would be to put the lion's share of your assets contained by roomy, dividend paying company companies or funds and devote a portion of your assets to international, growth, emerging bazaar, etc stocks/funds. Also, as you acquire elder rotating into fixed income assets is prudent.
brkb is diversified but I wouldn't stick more consequently 20% of my money into one company no situation how capably its run.

You can buy SPY (S&P 500) which will flay 80% of mutual funds over the long drag AND simply costs 0.10% expense duty.

Instant diversification!

Buy at lowest possible 7 shares at a time and your trade costs are a one time 1% while mutual funds will rob you year after year of 1.00 - 2.00%.

The SPY have almost 50% of revenues not from the US so you're also getting international exposure.

How does the stockbroker item works?

I thought in the region of putting my money surrounded by stocks. But afterwards if figure within is LOOOONNNNNNGGGG agency surrounded by writ to hold devout concept surrounded by the stock souk.
So i figure it will be smart to pass it to someone that this is profession to do it for me - Stockbroker. I Know i will be getting smaller amount but i will still be getting something. If i generate money He make money.

So the question here is this:
Is this realy working similar to that? does he clutch commision? if yes how much on avarage? If no, how do I wage him?

Or a moment ago explain me how this piece works beside stock broker.

Thank you!
Answers: Yes, they work on commission. You discharge it every time you buy or vend a guarantee.

However, you obligation to select guardedly. A reputable stockbroker can work wonders for you. However, every industry have a few unscrupulous ethnic group. A fruitless broker can cost you money by putting you into unsuitable investments or by making unnecessary trades to boost commissions. (That happen to a relative of mine.) Don't simply pick one out of a phone book. Ask your friends and business acquaintenances who they use, whether they're smug, and why. Check beside the National Association of Securities Dealers to brand sure that your chosen broker is properly registered and have not be disciplined.

P.S. I disagree next to the character who say that mutual funds other do better. They sometimes do better and they are a pious choice for copious society. However, a apt stock picker can flay them. I invest within individual stocks and my portfolio routinely beat both the S&P 500 and my mutual funds. I also disagree that the average cost of a stockbroker is 15%. That may be true for a small purchase, but it is not true for larger ones.
Yes, his reimburse comes out of your initial investment. Brokers are so unnecessary. You can procure equal service through mutual funds beside no loads. With expense ratio below 1%, to be precise far smaller number than the typical 15% a broker will charge. Instant diversification, professional supervision (for like mad less), and low fees. Yes, professional guidance is better than doing it alone, but mutual funds will do much better, especially when it comes to fees.

Why would you want to buy a loaded mutual fund?

After doing some research, it is clear that a non-loaded mutual fund contained by the pause, would ending you up next to profoundly smaller quantity within expense fees than a loaded mutual fund. So can someone inform me why I would buy a loaded mutual fund over a nonloaded?
Answers: There is a lawful rationale for them. Not everyone is ready to spend the time to revise how to invest. They prefer to be in motion to a financial advisor for guidance. Financial advisors, unsurprisingly, enjoy to charge for their services. They are frequently compensated by the commissions (or "loads") that customers recompense for these funds.

That mortal said, you hold to be mistrustful when select a financial advisor who accept commissions. An unscrupulous human being may supply you the fund near the ultimate profit to him/her instead of the best one for you.

Do the loads weaken your returns? Absolutely, yes. However, they may not slim down them as inadequately as making unpromising investment decision.

For those of us who are likely and competent to cram how to select funds, paying loads make no sense.
What if the loaded mutual fund have a much high rate of return than the no nouns fund?

Return - Load = Net Return

Loaded Fund 15% - 5% = 10%

No Load Fund 8% - 0% = 8%

What return would you prefer?
Loaded funds "existed" since no-load funds or no-transaction-fee (NTF) funds via brokers.

It is a caring of birthright and those who started out next to up front, etc. nouns funds which perform capably approved to save them. If you are interested surrounded by fitting performing low cost funds check out index funds. Also Vanguard funds enjoy a strong reputation of have intensely low expense ratio some as low as 0.03%!

My $0.02
There is almost certainly that a low internal payment "no load" Mutual Fund is usually the best means of access to travel.

So why reimburse fees;
Some ethnic group lately don't draw from "Asset Allocation", differences between funds etc. Many of them believe they can't revise it (in my mind an expensive mistake).

So..... within effect they are not comfortable hand their own money (80% of Mutual Fund investors). Wrong decree, most imagined. But it is what it is. For this "service" ancestors requirement to be remunerated. Therefore.... loaded funds.
Loaded funds are for suckers.

Anyone can buy the SPY (S&P 500) which will pounding 80% of mutual funds over the long heave AND single have a 0.10 expense charge. Yes SPY shares are expensive ~150 but even if you can simply buy 7 shares at a time your cost to buy is smaller number afterwards 1% using 10$ as trade costs.
To compensate the financial advisor. There's nought inherently wrong next to this and the advisor wishes to be compensated for putting together the financial plan for the client. Having that plan executed via nouns funds is simply one course of compensating the advisor and assuming the funds are held for a long time it's not specially expensive.

But, paying an advisor a tax base on any the amount of assets or by the hour is a better route to compensate him since it removes the appearance of bias.

The smartest entity you can do is walk acquire some professional assistance from an investment/financial advisor. Look up Morgan Stanley, Fidelity Investments, Wells & Fargo, etc...
Don't unscrew a trading article if you don't know much roughly investing all the same. Teach yourself on the Internet adjectives more or less it first. Maybe try investing near pretend money first at a site approaching this:

http://stocksquest.coe.uga.edu/C001759/

Once you carry the swing of things, after you can spread out a brokerage picture. I'd recommend one of the cheaper brokers, resembling mbtrading.com or zecco.com, but if you would close to them to tender you suggestion, you can travel to schaub.com for that. I don't recommend short occupancy trading immensely much. It's too tricky to find the timing down right, plus commissions will put away up your returns from buying and selling so much. I give the impression of being to do much better when I hold onto stocks for longer than 3 or 4 months.

suitable luck.

How do member of staff stock option work surrounded by this skin?

Hello,

If here is a company that have a share price of $2, and another company that have a share price of $100, should I ask for more option at the $2 company? Does it event? My reasoning is.. If the $2 stock go to $3, the appeal of the company go up 50%. This is the equivalent of the $100 stock going to $150. Correct??And if I owned, voice 10,000 shares, wouldn't I want to own option on the $100 stock and not the $2 stock?

Thanks plentifully for any thoughts.
Answers: Having option on the better priced stock is more desireable, if you're chitchat roughly speaking like peas in a pod number of shares.

The ten thousand shares of $2 stock will lattice you ten thousand dollars within this scenario if you exercise adjectives of your option contained by a same hours of daylight buy/sell. (You buy 10,000 shares for $20,000, and go them for $30,000)

The ten thousand shares of $100 stock contained by this scenario will lattice you five hundred thousand dollars if you exercise adjectives of your option contained by a same light of day buy/sell. (You buy 10,000 shares for $1,000,000 and vend them for $1,500,000)
it have alot to do next to your initial buy-in, if any. if you own voice, $1000 to spend right in a minute, minus a sale excise, you'd carry any 10 shares of that $100 or you'd receive 500 shares of that $2.

if that $100 stock go up slightly, you see a terrifically small gain (ie, +.010 = $1.00 total)

however, beside that lower $2 stock, a small gain can tight-fisted a bigger profit (ie +0.10 = $50.00 total)

see what i'm getting at? but here are the risks. at $100/share, its pretty all right assured that the company is very well established, and probably isn't going to flounder anytime soon. however, at $2/share, they are still getting out in attendance, so if they do gain contained by popularity, and the prices move about up, those who spent money presently gain lots. but.. if you spent alot on them and they stir beneath, so does your money.

its a $2/share large risk for a lofty gain.

or a $100/share low risk for a low gain (but still a gain, and dividens over time etc etc)

response to the spectator sport of investing! its a fun ride ahead
