Answers: S&P 500 (S&P is a company (Standard and Poor) that created the index which within this case is the top 500 U.S. companies as far as worth) tracked by RTH (mutual fund). ^GSPC is the ticker which is the heading given to this index by the stock exchange where the index is traded. If it's traded at a different stock exchange, the ticker nickname may be different. You've hear of ticker tape. That's the tabloid the tickers are printed on. If you watch a business program, you may see tickers scroll while the being is speaking. SNP is just repeating Standard and Poor (The writer is trying to say aloud it's a mutual fund tracking an index, so you can look at other mutual funds that track the same index which might hold different results. The differnt results for the same index could be the result of fees and how the mutual fund handle when to buy and sell this index inside the fund.

The index value is the price of one share of this index at that time, which surrounded by this case is 9:38 A.M. Eastern Standard Time on anything date you got this info.

Change is the difference between the previous close and what it's trading at very soon.

Previous close is the last trade of the previous time.

Open is the first trade price of that day.

Day's length is what the index was doing that hours of daylight.

The 52 week range is how it have done in times past 52 weeks. Certain buy/hold/sell formulas compare the 52 week average with that day's price. As you can see the index is rotten by $200 from the 52 week high and is trading at the lower fall of that range. Just at a peep (if you had to look at hundreds of tickers at a time) you can see this index is going down and have been since the closing high contained by the past 52 weeks.

What does it aim by financial market/DOW JONES is down by (-123.94)? How does it affect the middle class ppl?

Any type of information to understand financial marketplace would be appriciated.

Thank you in finance for your help.

Answers: if your retirement is invested surrounded by the stock market, it is eroding.

if it is eroding and you own a long time yet until retirement age, the open market will likely restore your health all the lost significance and then some.

if it is eroding and you required to retire fairly soon, you may no longer enjoy enough assets to do so.

AND, employer may soon be looking harder than ever to cut costs and close marginal operations -- which vehicle people will lose job.

you can take it from within ..

Is near a fitting website/application to do complex stock search?

For example, if I wanted to see adjectives stocks on a particular index which gain 10% last year, but lost more later 5% the previous year. Alternatively, if there is a passageway to download all historic stock information into a database, that would work as well and I could only just write my own querying tools.

Thanks contained by advance.
