Cialdini. In his book he tell about the science of getting compliance from ethnic group like you and me - and why the Human brain make it so easy for them to succeed - the total thing is to some extent scary in truth.
Turns out many business professionals read the book within Grad School - and billionaire Charlie Munger (who along with multi-billionaire Warren Buffet runs the Berkshire Hathaway holding company, whose stock shares are presently $135,000 each!) give a commencement speech at a big time university and gave respectively of the graduates a copy of the book as resourcefully... pretty cool...

Because, as this message board clearly attests, the world is absolutely FILLED near people who want "something for nothing", "hurried riches", and "a free lunch". Seriously, scroll through the questions here and see how various follow the theme, "how can I bring in a lot of money surrounded by a short period of time lacking doing much work or taking on any risk"? Scammers prey on these fools...and there are plenty of fools, so at hand are plenty of scammers. D

Answers: Investments are simply something you buy (invest) and hope it makes you money contained by two ways, from the income it produces (dividends from stocks and interest from bonds and bank accounts) or if the investment appreciates surrounded by value (stock, bonds can also run up in value), or both.
When you invest your money contained by a company stocks or govt. bonds expecting to grow your money. They are usually not guaranteed.
