Answers: AICPA is for accountants. A student membership costs $35 per year. It's only worth it if you want to use their online resources (which cost an additional $40) to help you in your advanced accounting classes.
Unless you considering switching majors to accounting, I don't think it worth the money.

First, you need to understand the market and have some kind of track record of making money in the market.
Second, you need investors that are willing to hand over money for you to invest.
Third, you need to form a company, either LLC or partnership.
You need at least usd 50k to set it up and around 500k of cash or assets to start. You then need to find at least one good reputable trader/ asset manager (but 3 are recommended) and a platform where you can control what they are doing and which give you access to a lot of products.
I have set up the above with USD 300k ( 2 asset managers) and after a year it is still running but it has been a very volatile ride, precisely because the fund is so small and in order to pay its running costs it needs to leverage the 300K to make profits regularly.
