As a general rule, would it be safer to own money in a cd (certificate of deposit) or contained by a money market funds acct? It depends entirely on the issuer. If the institution is FDIC insured, they are undamaging.

Intraday means that you square off the deals within the same day and do not carry it to the next working day in the market. This is in contrast to the delivery trade wherein u trade today and u get the stocks or money into your account after the settlement cycle is completed (usually 2 days)
