HOW should I invest surrounded by ETFs?

I have $5,000 to invest and I'm looking at investing them contained by ETFs. Would it be better if I invested all $5k at once, or should I invest it contained by monthly intervals? Half my sources say do adjectives $5k at once and the other half say do it in monthy intervals. I am confused because I am contemporary to this.

Answers: If your looking forward six months or a year, invest it all at once...if you're thinking more of " trading" possibly only holding things a week or two at a time, next invest in little " buys".( If you drop indisputable big right away...you get out: if you see a moment or two gain, then make the addition of just for a time more.)
I would think your best bet is to get hold of into about three ETFs spread over some " promising" sector...energy, international, and possibly alternative energy. They may not be high- flyers right away, but they should see steady upward movement.
P.S. The " agricultural" sector is hot right very soon... but there might be solitary one or two ETF s in that sector: MOO and DBA.
The problem beside periodic investing within ETFs is that you must make respectively buy through a broker (just like buying stocks) and clear a fee respectively time. That tends to negate the lower-E.R. help of ETFs. If you're going to invest monthly, you may be better off beside a good no-load mutual fund purchased directly from the fund house.
