Do you give attention to it is possible to disprove the EMH (Efficient Market Hypothesis)?
I'm trying to disprove the EMH by coming up with a formula that can predict the direction of stocks. I be just wondering if anyone think this is possible.Answers: Yes,
I had to write a tabloid on it in grad university. Look at the long term average returns of stocks rank as 1s verses the long possession returns of stocks ranked 5s by Value Line investment survey.
I be able to draw from the data from Value Line. Between 1980 and 1992 the stocks rank as 1s substantially out preformed the stocks given a 5 ranking by value procession.
If you win a lottery do you have to pay taxes on the money if you invest it in something else?
Answers: Yes because it's income...The taxes are gone before the winning even hits your hand.
In California, California State Lottery winnings are tax-free, so if you're a Californian and win in the California Lottery, you don't have to pay state tax on it. You do, however, have to pay Federal tax, because to the Feds it is income (and it doesn't matter what you spend it on). I believe that the California Lottery generally withholds 25% Federal withholding, but of course the amount you will actually owe will depend upon your situation.
Technically, of course, you're supposed to pay income tax on all of your winnings, no matter how small (even $1), but most don't unless they win enough that the Lotto reports the winnings to the government.
Note also that you are allowed to deduct gambling losses to the extent that you have gambling winnings (all within the same tax year).
either way the money will be taxed.
Stock screener?
Yahoo stock screener is not showing results of stocks I know should be there. When I use MSN Money interior stock screener it gives me 136 correct results near my parameters. But beside yahoo's screener I get 2 or none. I own tried everything in the faqs partition. I have also disabled the pop up blocker, but nil works. I would use the MSN screener, but supposedly yahoo's screener works in physical time, but the way it's going immediately it doesn't work at all.Answers: close your browser, delete your cookies and cache files.
