ICICIDirect Account and Overseas Trading?

I can see in icicidirect home page that "Overseas Trading is in a minute available on icicidirect.com." so can I buy Microsoft shares or G00GLE shares using ICICIDirect account? If anyone is doing alike please post it here and tell us your experience and more details... just about its charges, brokerages... e.t.c

Answers: priyankji is completely wrong on this - he's just added an answer to promote his blog! Trading within Indian shares from abroad be allowed since several years!

Now for the answer to this question:
* Overseas Trading on ICICIDirect allows Indians to buy US stocks through ICICIDirect. So you can buy stocks similar to G00GLE, Apple, IBM, HP and many others that are traded at hand.
* A new explanation form has to be full up in (assuming you already enjoy a 3-in-1 trading account near ICICIDirect - this is a prerequisite).
* You will get a foreign demat account created surrounded by the US to hold the US stocks.
* Account opening charge is Rs.999.
* Brokerage is 0.75% of trade efficacy subject to a minimum of 9 USD per ticket in the equity segment.
* Brokerage is USD 9 per ticket + USD 1 per contract contained by the Options segment.
* Note that funds will have to be transferred from India to the US and converted to USD in the past you can start buying. The transfer time could be up to 72 hours (3 days).
* The specific exchange where on earth your order will be sent to cannot be predicted. ICICIDirect's partner within the US will route your order to an exchange for the best possible execution price.
hey, it ability that you can now properly trade in INDIAN stocks from out of the country. It is not abt Not tradeing in Nasdaq through icici.
