Has anyone sued a brokerage house and/or their mutual funds?

My broker put me in what be supposed to be an "investment grade" bond fund. Turns out they were playing brisk and loose and when the sub-prime mortgage debacle hit, it plummeted down over 50%. He put me within this to moderate my risk. Besides not getting what I was sold, how liable are they for fiscal responsibility, prudent man rule, etc?

If you own, how did it end up?

Answers: nearby was a huge surge of these kind of suits after the dot com crash.
find an attack dog attorney who does contingency cases and gear up for the class action suit.

here are lots of folk in your position.

it seem that the bond rating agencies [Moody's, et al.] did not really know what they were doing on some of these fancy brand new derivatives and collective items. so they rated them AAA or BAA or doesn`t matter what when they were more resembling C in the first place.

later, the brokerages went and sold them to their customers minus doing more research than looking up the Moody's rating. At least, this is what your shield will claim. [I have no view what they actually did -- and it unambiguously didn't work, did it?]

on the other hand, if you'd bought the AAA rate bonds of Exxon they'd still be worth every cent of your investment.

Of course Exxon didn't offer duplicate interest rate, did they??

A web site where i can buy and trade stocks but its basically make pretend.?
